Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan burnout pada generasi strawberry. Generasi strawberry adalah individu dewasa muda yang hidup di era digital dan menghadapi tekanan akademik, pekerjaan, serta ekspektasi sosial yang tinggi secara bersamaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Sampel berjumlah 100 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) dan Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dan burnout (r = -0,409, p < 0,001). Artinya, semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang diterima, semakin rendah tingkat burnout yang dirasakan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan sosial dalam menjaga kesehatan mental individu generasi strawberry yang menghadapi tekanan akademik, pekerjaan, dan sosial secara bersamaan. Selain itu, hasil analisis matriks korelasi antar dimensi menunjukkan bahwa dukungan penghargaan dan dukungan emosional memiliki korelasi paling kuat dalam menurunkan kelelahan emosional dan depersonalisasi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa dukungan sosial, khususnya dalam bentuk penghargaan dan empati emosional, memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga kesehatan mental generasi strawberry yang menjalani tekanan ganda dari tuntutan akademik, pekerjaan, dan sosial.This study aims to examine the relationship between social support and burnout among the strawberry generation. The strawberry generation refers to young adults living in the digital era who simultaneously face high academic, work-related, and social pressures. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The research instruments used were the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). The results indicated a significant negative relationship between social support and burnout (r = -0.409, p < 0.001). This means that the higher the social support received, the lower the level of burnout experienced. These findings underscore the importance of social support in maintaining the mental health of the strawberry generation, who face simultaneous academic, work, and social pressures. Furthermore, the correlation matrix analysis across dimensions showed that appraisal support and emotional support had the strongest correlation in reducing emotional exhaustion and depersonalization. These findings emphasize that social support, particularly in the form of recognition and emotional empathy, plays a crucial role in safeguarding the mental health of the strawberry generation experiencing dual pressures from academic, work, and social demands.
