Abstract

Reflecting on previous stamping press projects, defects in the stamping production results such as burrs, dimensional inaccuracies, cracks, and excessive consumption of sheet material have led to a reduction in the company’s profit margins. Therefore, the objective of this research is to manufacture the Bracket 1301 product using a die design that has been realized in accordance with the predetermined product specifications, while achieving a material Layout utilization rate above 65% to minimize material waste. The research method involves determining the critical points of the product to be manufactured, followed by analyzing the die construction, machine capacity, and material strip Layout . The results of the tryout from N3 to N100, conducted on the blank piercing die for Bracket 1301, yielded CP (Process Capability) and CPK (Process Capability Index) values of 1.58/1.41 for the Ø 7 mm critical point, and 1.63/1.43 for the Ø 4 mm critical point. Based on these results, the realized blank piercing die for Bracket 1301 is declared capable of supporting mass production. Furthermore, from the designed material strip Layout , the material utilization efficiency reached 70.23%, enabling the production of 693 pieces from a single sheet of material. Keywords : Dies, Sheet Material, Stamping Press, Blank-Piercing Berkaca dari proyek-proyek stamping press yang telah berlalu, dimana terdapat cacat pada hasil produksi stamping berupa burry, miss dimensi, retak serta pemborosan penggunaan material sheet mengakibatkan berkurangnya keuntungan yang didapat perusahaan. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah membuat produk bracket 1301 dari rancangan dies yang telah direalisasikan sesuai dengan spesifikasi produk yang telah ditetapkan, serta persentase penggunaan Layout material diatas 65 % untuk mengurangi pemborosan material. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan menentukan critical point dari produk yang akan dibuat, kemudian menganalisis konstruksi dies, kapasitas mesin serta Layout material strip. Hasil dari tryout N3 hingga N100 yang dilakukan pada dies blank piercing bracket 1301 dengan nilai CP (Capability Process) & CPK (Capability Proses Index) 1,58/1,41 untuk point critical Ø 7 mm serta 1,63/1,43 untuk point critical Ø 4 mm, dengan hal ini dies blank piercing bracket 1301 yang telah di realisasikan dinyatakan mampu untuk melakukan produksi massal. Kemudian dari hasil desain Layout material strip, efisiensi penggunaan material mencapai angka 70,23% dan mampu membuat produk sebanyak 693 Pcs dalam satu lembar material sheet.
