Abstract
The increasing complexity of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure demands effective, rapid, and interactive network monitoring methods. Traditional monitoring systems that rely on notifications via email or static interfaces are often less responsive to critical network issues, thereby hindering timely disruption handling. Nagios, as one of the popular open-source monitoring systems, enables the monitoring of various network services. However, the notifications it conventionally offers are still limited to passive media and lack interactivity. Integrating an AI-based chatbot with Nagios offers a new, more dynamic approach, where the chatbot can proactively communicate with administrators through instant messaging platforms like Telegram. Through the implementation of the ChatGPT API, the chatbot not only provides real-time notifications when services are detected to have issues but also can process natural language queries, display data in table or graph formats, and offer direct corrective action recommendations. This study implements the integration of an AI chatbot for network monitoring and notification based on Nagios through Telegram in a virtual environment. A virtual environment was chosen for its flexibility in simulating network topology and testing various disruption scenarios in a controlled manner. The results show that the AI chatbot can enhance the efficiency and speed of responses to issue notifications, facilitate two-way interactions between the monitoring system and administrators, and provide informative data visualizations such as CPU performance graphs, memory usage, and service status tables. Thus, the expected outcomes of this research contribute to optimizing network management, accelerating decision-making, and improving the reliability and overall quality of IT services. Kata kunci: AI Chatbot, Network Monitoring, Nagios, Telegram, Virtual Environment, Interactive Notifications, ChatGPT API Perkembangan infrastruktur Teknologi Informasi (TI) yang semakin kompleks menuntut metode monitoring jaringan yang efektif, cepat, dan interaktif. Sistem monitoring tradisional yang mengandalkan notifikasi melalui email atau antarmuka statis seringkali kurang responsif terhadap masalah kritis pada jaringan, sehingga dapat menghambat penanganan gangguan secara tepat waktu. Nagios sebagai salah satu sistem monitoring open-source yang populer memungkinkan pemantauan berbagai layanan jaringan, namun notifikasi yang ditawarkan secara konvensional masih terbatas pada media pasif dan kurang interaktif. Integrasi chatbot berbasis AI dengan Nagios menawarkan pendekatan baru yang lebih dinamis, di mana chatbot dapat secara proaktif berkomunikasi dengan administrator melalui platform pesan instan seperti Telegram. Melalui penerapan ChatGPT API, chatbot tidak hanya memberikan notifikasi real-time saat layanan terdeteksi mengalami masalah, tetapi juga mampu memproses pertanyaan dalam bahasa alami, menampilkan data dalam format tabel atau grafik, serta memberikan rekomendasi tindakan korektif secara langsung. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan integrasi chatbot AI untuk monitoring dan notifikasi jaringan berbasis Nagios melalui Telegram di lingkungan virtual. Lingkungan virtual dipilih karena fleksibilitas dalam simulasi topologi jaringan serta pengujian berbagai skenario gangguan secara terkontrol. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa chatbot AI dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan kecepatan respons terhadap notifikasi masalah, memfasilitasi interaksi dua arah antara sistem monitoring dan administrator, serta menyediakan visualisasi data yang informatif seperti grafik kinerja CPU, memory, dan tabel status layanan. Dengan demikian, Hasil yang diharpakan dari penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam mengoptimalkan pengelolaan jaringan, mempercepat pengambilan keputusan, serta meningkatkan keandalan dan juga kualitas layanan TI secara keseluruhan.
