Abstract
Alongside the increasing competitiveness of the automotive industry, enhancing production line efficiency and operational Sustainability has become a primary focus in addressing economic and environmental challenges. This study examines the application of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) approach supported by Karakuri Hybrid innovation as a strategy to improve efficiency and implement eco-friendly automation in the wiper motor production line. Through quantitative analysis over six months, the study found that OEE values improved from a range of 84.7–90.0% to 88.5–93.2%, with significant improvements in Availability and Performance. This improvement was driven by reduced Handling time through mechanical automation based on natural principles, thereby minimizing external energy usage and industrial waste. The approach not only enhances operational efficiency but also aligns with Sustainability principles through the optimal use of resources. These findings offer practical and scientific insights for the automotive and small-to-medium manufacturing industries in integrating efficiency and Sustainability through green technology-based innovations. Keywords : Production efficiency, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Karakuri Hybrid, Six Big Losses, Material Handling Seiring dengan meningkatnya daya saing industri otomotif, peningkatan efisiensi lini produksi dan keberlanjutan operasional menjadi fokus utama dalam menghadapi tantangan ekonomi dan lingkungan. Studi ini mengkaji penerapan pendekatan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) yang didukung oleh inovasi Karakuri Hybrid sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan menerapkan otomasi ramah lingkungan pada lini produksi Motor Wiper. Melalui analisis kuantitatif selama enam bulan, studi ini menemukan bahwa nilai OEE meningkat dari kisaran 84,7–90,0% menjadi 88,5–93,2%, dengan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek Availability dan Performance. Peningkatan ini didorong oleh berkurangnya waktu penanganan melalui otomasi mekanis yang berbasis prinsip alami, sehingga meminimalkan penggunaan energi eksternal dan limbah industri. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, tetapi juga sejalan dengan prinsip keberlanjutan melalui pemanfaatan sumber daya secara optimal. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan praktis dan ilmiah bagi industri otomotif serta sektor manufaktur kecil hingga menengah dalam mengintegrasikan efisiensi dan keberlanjutan melalui inovasi berbasis teknologi ramah lingkungan.
