Abstract
The main activities of the mining process are stripping the overburden, blasting the overburden and drilling, loading the soil rock products, then the next stage is transporting the overburden, transporting coal to the Stock pile and waste to the waste dump area. In achieving these target objectives, it must be supported by the maintenance of mine haul roads and good and proper haul road maintenance. Because the condition of the transportation haul road will directly affect the impact on the pattern of the production system. Water Truck is a vehicle that acts as a storage unit and water carrier for various unit activities including watering the mine road, because during operational mining activities the road becomes a very dusty empty land. The use of a water sprayer in a water truck system is usually managed and operated manually by the driver or operator by manually opening the valve in the cabin to drain the water, this can potentially cause work accidents due to the presence of dust along the mine haul route. With the application of the SLC 500 PLC, the water sprayer can function automatically using sensors installed in the workplace to replace the manual system, so that it no longer needs to be operated manually by the driver, and the level of safety is guaranteed and increased. Based on the physical availability graph of the water truck, there is a 3% increase from the physical availability in 2022 of 89% to 92% in 2023 after the automatic sprayer modification. Keywords: Mining, Water Truck, Water Sprayer, Programmable Logic Controller Kegiatan utama dari proses penambangan adalah melakukan pengupasan lapisan tanah yang penutup, peledakan lapisan tanah dan pengeboran, pemuatan hasil batuan tanah, kemudian tahap selanjutnya pengangkutan tanah lapisan, pengangkutan batu bara ke Stock pile dan waste ke daerah dumpingan (waste dump). Dalam mencapai tujuan target tersebut, maka harus di dukung dengan pemeliharaan jalan angkut tambang serta perawatan jalan angkut yang baik dan tepat. Karena kondisi jalan angkut transportasi secara langsung akan mempengaruhi dampak terhadap kelacaran pola sistem produksi. Water Truck adalah kendaraan yang bertindak sebagai unit penyimpanan dan pembawa air untuk berbagai kegiatan unit di antaranya melakukan penyiraman jalan tambang, karena saat operasional kegiatan tambang jalan menjadi lahan kosong yang sangat berdebuPenggunaan semprotan air (water sprayer) pada sistem truk air biasanya dikelola dan dioperasikan secara manual oleh pengemudi maupun operator dengan cara membuka katup secara manual di dalam kabin untuk mengalirkan air, hal tersebut dapat berpotensi sebagai menyebabkan kecelakaan kerja karena adanya debu di sepanjang jalur angkut tambang. Dengan penerapan PLC SLC 500, alat penyemprot air dapat berfungsi otomatis menggunakan sensor-sensor yang dipasang di tempat kerja menggantikan sistem yang manual, sehingga tidak perlu lagi dioperasikan secara manual oleh pengemudi, dan tingkat keselamatan keamanan semakin terjamin dan meningkat. Berdasarkan grafik physical availability water truck didapatkan kenaikan 3% dari physical availability di 2022 sebesar 89% menjadi 92% di 2023 setelah dilakukan modifikasi automatic sprayer.
