Abstract
Di era digital, chatbot telah menjadi alat penting untuk meningkatkan interaksi dan pelayanan antara pengguna dan penyedia layanan. Chatbot yang meniru percakapan manusia membantu pengguna mencari informasi di website dan aplikasi mobile. Namun, Universitas Mercubuana belum memanfaatkan teknologi ini di situs web mereka, sehingga mahasiswa sering kesulitan mencari informasi dan harus bertanya kepada staf atau dosen. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi bagaimana Machine Learning, khususnya deep learning dan Natural Language Processing (NLP), dapat digunakan untuk mengoptimalkan penyediaan informasi akademik bagi mahasiswa di Universitas Mercubuana. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis berbasis machine learning untuk mengembangkan chatbot yang mampu memberikan informasi akademik secara real-time. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi penyediaan informasi akademik dan memudahkan mahasiswa dalam mengakses informasi yang diperlukan. Dengan demikian, chatbot berbasis machine learning dapat menjadi yang efektif dalam lingkungan pendidikan. In the digital era, chatbots have become essential tools for enhancing interaction and service between users and service providers. Chatbots that mimic human conversation help users find information on websites and mobile applications. However, Universitas Mercubuana has not yet utilized this technology on their website, causing students to frequently struggle in finding information and having to ask staff or lecturers. This research aims to explore how Machine Learning, particularly deep learning techniques and Natural Language Processing (NLP), can be used to optimize the provision of academic information for students at Universitas Mercubuana. The method used is machine learning-based analysis to develop a chatbot capable of providing real-time academic information. The results of this research are expected to improve the efficiency of academic information provision and ease students’ access to the necessary information. Thus, a machine learning-based chatbot can become an effective solution in the educational environment.
