Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between attachment to the mother and juvenile delinquency in low-economic families in West Jakarta X Vocational High School Students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method to see the extent of the relationship between the two variables. The sampling method used in this study is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. Respondents in this study totaled 204 people aged 15-19 years, who were categorized as adolescent students with low economic families attending SMK X West Jakarta. Measurement of juvenile delinquency was carried out using the Adapted Self Report Delinquency Scale (ASRDS) developed by Caroll et al., (1996) which was adapted by Pechoro (2015) in the Portuguese version, then also adapted by Fitriani & Hastuti (2017) for the Indonesian version. Meanwhile, the measurement of maternal attachment was carried out using the Parent and Peer Attachment Inventory (IPPA) developed by (Armsden and Greenberg, 2009). The results of the study using the Spearman correlation coefficient method showed a negative relationship between Maternal Attachment and Adolescent Delinquency in Families with Low Economy in SMK X West Jakarta. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a low negative correlation between maternal attachment and juvenile delinquency in low-economic families in SMK X West Jakarta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara kelekatan pada ibu dengan kenakalan remaja pada keluarga dengan ekonomi rendah di Siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan X Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional untuk melihat sejauh mana hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut. Metode sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu non-probability sampling dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 204 orang yang berusia 15-19 tahun, yang dikategorikan sebagai remaja siswa yang bersekolah di SMK X Jakarta Barat. Pengukuran kenakalan remaja dilakukan dengan menggunakan Adapted Self Report Delinquency Scale (ASRDS) yang dikembangkan oleh Mak (1993), lalu diadaptasi oleh Caroll et al., (1996) kemudian diadaptasi oleh Pechoro (2015) dalam versi Portugis, lalu sudah diadaptasi oleh Fitriani & Hastuti (2017) untuk versi Indonesia. Sementara itu, pengukuran kelekatan ibu dilakukan dengan menggunakan Inventory Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) versi yang sudah direvisi oleh Gay Armsden (2009), dan dibuat oleh Armsden dan Greenberg (1987). Hasil penelitian menggunakan metode Spearman correlation coeficient menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif antara Kelekatan Ibu terhadap Kenakalan Remaja pada Keluarga dengan Ekonomi Rendah di SMK X Jakarta Barat. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi negatif rendah antara Kelekatan Ibu dan Kenakalan Remaja pada Keluarga dengan Ekonomi Rendah di SMK X Jakarta Barat.
