Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of using an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-basedchatbot on students' academic stress levels. The study involved 60 students from SMATunas Harapan, divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of 30 students. The results showed a significant reduction in stress levels in the experimental group after using the SchoolMentalHealth.id chatbot. TheIndependent T-Test results, with a t-value of 3.629 and a significance level of 0.001(< 0.05), indicated that the use of the AI-based chatbot effectively reduced academicstress levels. The average reduction in stress levels in the experimental group was significantly greater than in the control group, suggesting that AI-based chatbots have great potential as a tool to support students' mental health. Keywords: Chatbot, Artificial Intelligence, Academic Stress, Mental Health, Students Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penggunaan chatbot berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI) terhadap tingkat stres akademik siswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan 60 siswa SMA Tunas Harapan, yang dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok, yaitukelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, masing-masing terdiri dari 30 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan tingkat stres yang signifikan padakelompok eksperimen setelah penggunaan chatbot SchoolMentalHealth.id. Hasil Independent T-Test dengan nilai t sebesar 3.629 dan tingkat signifikansi 0.001 (< 0.05) menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan chatbot berbasis AI efektif dalam mengurangi tingkat stres akademik siswa. Penurunan rata-rata tingkat stres pada kelompokeksperimen lebih signifikan dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol, yangmengindikasikan bahwa chatbot berbasis AI memiliki potensi besar sebagai alat pendukung kesehatan mental siswa.
