Abstract
This research aims to implementation the filtering system using Nginx to improve the efficiency of live streaming services in companies engaged in the OTT service industry. The research was conducted by implementing the subdomain filtering method on the Nginx server to evaluate its impact on service quality and server resource usage. The research method involves the implementation of subdomain filtering technology in the company's live streaming environment, data collection from the implementation process, system performance testing, analysis of test results, and evaluation of the impact on live streaming service quality. The results show that the implementation of subdomain filtering technology on Nginx provides a significant improvement in the efficiency of live streaming services. There is a reduction in buffering time, smoother data flow, faster server response, and more efficient use of server resources. The implications of this research include direct improvements in the quality of live streaming services, optimization of server resource usage, as well as the potential application of similar technologies in other streaming services in the OTT industry. This research contributes to the development of streaming service technology, especially in the context of improving the efficiency and quality of live streaming services in companies engaged in the OTT industry. Keywords: Nginx, Live Streaming, OTT, Filtering, Subdomains Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasi sistem filtering menggunakan Nginx guna meningkatkan efisiensi layanan live streaming di perusahaan yang bergerak di industri layanan OTT. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengimplementasikan metode filtering subdomain pada server Nginx untuk mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap kualitas layanan dan penggunaan sumber daya server. Metode penelitian melibatkan implementasi teknologi filtering subdomain pada lingkungan live streaming perusahaan, pengumpulan data dari proses implementasi, pengujian kinerja sistem, analisis hasil pengujian, serta evaluasi dampak terhadap kualitas layanan live streaming. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi teknologi filtering subdomain pada Nginx memberikan peningkatan signifikan dalam efisiensi layanan live streaming. Terlihat pengurangan waktu buffering, aliran data yang lebih lancar, response server yang lebih cepat, dan penggunaan sumber daya server yang lebih efisien. Implikasi dari penelitian ini mencakup peningkatan langsung dalam kualitas layanan live streaming, optimasi penggunaan sumber daya server, serta potensi penerapan teknologi serupa dalam layanan streaming lainnya di industri OTT. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan teknologi layanan streaming, terutama dalam konteks peningkatan efisiensi dan kualitas layanan live streaming di perusahaan yang bergerak di industri OTT.
