Abstract
The textile industry continues to grow rapidly in line with increasing global market demand and technological innovations that encourage production efficiency, but challenges in managing production capacity remain an obstacle for companies. This research aims to determine demand forecasting, prepare a master production schedule, and carry out rough cut capacity planning to ensure sufficient capacity at each production work station. The rough cut capacity planning method is used to evaluate capacity at various work stations, such as pattern, cutting, sewing and finishing, with research results showing that the company is unable to meet all demand due to limited capacity at several work stations, especially pattern, cutting and sewing. , while the capacity in the finishing section is only sufficient for certain periods, namely September 2024, January 2024, March 2025, May 2025, and July 2025. To overcome this obstacle, capacity in the finishing section can be increased through additional labor without need to add machines, as well as implementing the recommended two-shift work pattern to increase cost efficiency. Subcontracting alternatives in the finishing section were analyzed, with a cost of IDR 2,325,143 for 581 product units, so the chosen solution must consider cost efficiency and impact on company productivity in order to support operational sustainability and competitiveness in the textile industry. Industri tekstil terus berkembang pesat seiring dengan meningkatnya permintaan pasar global dan inovasi teknologi yang mendorong efisiensi produksi, namun tantangan dalam mengelola kapasitas produksi tetap menjadi kendala bagi perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan peramalan permintaan, menyusun jadwal induk produksi, serta melakukan perencanaan kapasitas kasar (rough cut capacity planning) guna memastikan kecukupan kapasitas di setiap stasiun kerja produksi. Metode rough cut capacity planning digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kapasitas di berbagai stasiun kerja, seperti pola, potong, jahit, dan finishing, dengan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan tidak mampu memenuhi seluruh permintaan akibat keterbatasan kapasitas di beberapa stasiun kerja, terutama pola, potong, dan jahit, sementara kapasitas di bagian finishing hanya mencukupi pada periode tertentu, yaitu September 2024, Januari 2024, Maret 2025, Mei 2025, dan Juli 2025. Untuk mengatasi kendala ini, kapasitas pada bagian finishing dapat ditingkatkan melalui penambahan tenaga kerja tanpa perlu menambah mesin, serta penerapan pola kerja dua shift yang disarankan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi biaya. Alternatif subkontrak pada bagian finishing dianalisis, dengan biaya sebesar Rp 2.325.143 untuk 581 unit produk, sehingga solusi yang dipilih harus mempertimbangkan efisiensi biaya dan dampak terhadap produktivitas perusahaan agar dapat mendukung keberlanjutan operasional serta daya saing di industri tekstil.
