Abstract
The increase in electricity consumption within the industrial sector, including cardboard manufacturing facilities, has prompted companies to seek sustainable energy efficiency solutions. One promising alternative is the implementation of rooftop solar power plants (RSPP) to meet energy demands while reducing operational costs. In this context, the present study aims to analyze the performance comparison between P-Type and N-Type solar panels within an ongrid rooftop solar power system specifically designed for cardboard factories. The primary parameters compared include energy production, energy losses, and investment feasibility. Technical data were collected through field surveys and analyzed using PVsyst software to determine the optimal configuration of the solar power system at the site. Simulation results indicate that N-Type panels generated a total energy output of 545,404 kWh in the first year, surpassing the P-Type panels, which produced 523,286 kWh. The total electrical energy losses for the N-Type panels were recorded at 81,841.24 kWh, which is lower than the P-Type panels, which reached 98,725.37 kWh. This reflects a superior energy conversion efficiency for the N-Type panels, supported by a Performance Ratio (PR) of 81.96%, which is higher than the PR of the P-Type panels, recorded at only 78.5%. This study recommends the utilization of N-Type solar panels in rooftop solar power projects within cardboard manufacturing facilities, considering their advantages in energy efficiency and long-term performance. The findings are anticipated to serve as a reference for the development of rooftop solar power systems in other industrial sectors. Salah satu alternatif yang menjanjikan adalah penerapan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya atap (PLTS Atap) untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi serta mengurangi biaya operasional. Dalam konteks ini, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan kinerja panel surya P-Type dan N-Type dalam sistem PLTS atap ongrid yang dirancang khusus untuk pabrik karton. Parameter utama yang dibandingkan meliputi produksi energi, rugi-rugi energi, dan kelayakan investasi. Data teknis dikumpulkan melalui survei lapangan dan dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak PVsyst untuk menentukan konfigurasi optimal sistem PLTS di lokasi tersebut. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa panel N-Type menghasilkan total energi sebesar 545.404 kWh pada tahun pertama, lebih tinggi dibandingkan panel P-Type yang menghasilkan 523.286 kWh. Total kerugian energi listrik panel N-Type tercatat sebesar 81.841,24 kWh, lebih rendah dibandingkan P-Type yang mencapai 98.725,37 kWh. Hal ini mencerminkan efisiensi konversi energi yang lebih baik pada panel N-Type, didukung oleh nilai Performance Ratio (PR) sebesar 81,96%, lebih tinggi dibandingkan PR panel P-Type yang hanya mencapai 78,5%. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan panel surya N-Type dalam proyek PLTS atap di pabrik karton, mengingat keunggulannya dalam efisiensi energi dan performa jangka panjang.
