Abstract

Sejalan dengan berkembangnya teknologi saat ini kebutuhan akan teknologi sangat begitu dirasakan manfaatnya, hampir semua lini merasakan dampaknya, dari sisi pendidikan, transportasi, kesehatan sampai dengan masalah di perindustrian/perusahaan dan juga lainnya. Namun sayangnya di dalam dunia industri saat ini tidak sedikit perusahaan-perusahaan yang masih disintegrasi khususnya dalam pengiriman data via emai sehingga data-data penting yang dikirim via email bisa dibaca oleh orang yang tidak berhak menerimanya. Kriptografi merupakan ilmu dan seni teknik penyamaran atau penyandian untuk melindungi suatu informasi atau pesan asli (Plaintext) menjadi sebuah teks tersembunyi (Chipertext) dan kemudian di ubah menjadi pesan asli kembali. Kriptografi mempunyai tiga unsur penting yaitu enkripsi ,deskipsi dan kunci (key). Untuk itu peneliti mencoba membuat sebuah aplikasi keamanan email berbasis web untuk mengirim dan menerima email dengan menerapkan metode kriptografi menggunakan Algoritma Advanced Encryption Standard dengan panjang bit 256 (AES-256), Algoritma Rivest Cipher 4 (RC4) dan Algoritma Vigenere Cipher. Dengan menerapkan algoritma tersebut diharapkan keamanan data dalam pengiriman informasi melalui email dapat terjamin kerahasiaannya. In line with the development of technology at this time the need for technology is so felt its benefits, almost all lines feel the impact, in terms of education, transportation, health to problems in industry / companies and also others. But unfortunately in the industrial world today not a few companies are still integrated, especially in sending data via e-mail so that important data sent via e-mail can be read by people who are not entitled to receive it. Cryptography is the science and art of disguising or encoding techniques to protect an information or an original message (Plaintext) into a hidden text (Chipertext) and then converted into an original message again. Cryptography has three important elements, namely encryption, description and key (key). For this reason, researchers try to create a web-based e-mail security application to send and receive e-mails by applying the cryptographic method using the Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm with a 256-bit length (AES-256), Rivest Cipher 4 (RC4) Algorithm and the Vigenere Cipher Algorithm. By implementing the algorithm, it is expected that data security in sending information via email can be guaranteed confidentiality.
