Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology provides significant opportunities to increase efficiency in various sectors, including in Black Soldier Fly (BSF) cultivation. IoT allows real-time monitoring of environmental conditions, which is very important in optimizing the growth and development of BSF. The purpose of this study is to design an IoT system and website platform for monitoring and optimizing BSF cages. This system is designed to monitor critical environmental parameters, such as temperature, humidity, and light, which affect the success of BSF cultivation. DHT22 and DS18B20 sensors are used to measure temperature and humidity, while LDR sensors are used to measure light intensity. Data collected from these sensors are then sent in real-time to the website platform for more efficient monitoring.The implementation of this system has shown positive results with improved management of the cage environment, which contributes to the development of more sustainable and innovative insect farming technologies. This system also provides more effective solutions to cage management problems and reduces dependence on manual intervention, and supports sustainability in the BSF management industry. Keywords: Internet of Things (IoT), System design, website platform Perkembangan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) memberikan peluang signifikan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dalam berbagai sektor, termasuk dalam budidaya Black Soldier Fly (BSF). IoT memungkinkan pemantauan kondisi lingkungan secara real-time, yang sangat penting dalam mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan BSF. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang sistem IoT dan platform website untuk monitoring dan optimasi kandang BSF. Sistem ini dirancang untuk memantau parameter lingkungan kritis, seperti suhu, kelembapan, dan cahaya, yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan budidaya BSF. Sensor DHT22 dan DS18B20 digunakan untuk mengukur suhu dan kelembapan, sedangkan sensor LDR digunakan untuk mengukur intensitas cahaya. Data yang terkumpul dari sensor-sensor ini kemudian dikirimkan secara real-time ke platform website untuk pemantauan yang lebih efisien.Implementasi sistem ini menunjukkan hasil yang positif dengan peningkatan pengelolaan lingkungan kandang, yang berkontribusi pada pengembangan teknologi budidaya serangga yang lebih berkelanjutan dan inovatif. Sistem ini juga memberikan solusi yang lebih efektif untuk masalah pengelolaan kandang dan pengurangan ketergantungan pada intervensi manual, serta mendukung keberlanjutan dalam industri pengelolaan BSF.
