Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of intrinsic motivation on creativity among students at Mercu Buana University. The number of respondents involved in this research was 337 respondents taken based on the criteria for regular active students 1 class of 2023. For sampling, researchers used a non-probability sampling technique with the accidental sampling method. The measuring instrument used in this research consists of two scales. The measuring tool for the creativity variable uses a creativity scale that has been adapted from Guilford's theory which was previously used by Citraningtyas (2015) totaling 28 items with a Cronbach alpha reliability value of 0.816. The intrinsic motivation scale itself uses Ryan & Deci's theory which was previously used by Erfani (2023), totaling 20 items with a Cronbach alpha reliability value of 0.881. Based on the results of the simple linear regression test in this study, the R-Square value is 0.115, so it can be seen that the intrinsic motivation variable contributes 11.5% to the creativity variable and 88.5% is influenced by other factors outside the intrinsic motivation variable. These results indicate that intrinsic motivation variables can influence creativity but only have a small influence compared to other variables. Keywords: Students, Intrinsic Motivation, Creativity Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi intrinsik terhadap kreativitas pada mahasiswa di Universitas Mercu Buana. Jumlah responden yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 337 responden yang diambil berdasarkan kriteria mahasiswa aktif regular 1 angkatan 2023. Untuk pengambilan sampel, peneliti menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling dengan metode accidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari dua skala. Alat ukur pada variabel kreativitas menggunakan skala kreativitas yang telah diadaptasi dari teori Guilford yang telah digunakan sebelumnya oleh Citraningtyas (2015) berjumlah 28 item dengan nilai reliabilitas cronbach alpha 0,816. Skala motivasi intrinsik nya sendiri menggunakan teori Ryan & Deci yang telah digunakan sebelumnya oleh Erfani (2023) yang berjumlah 20 item dengan nilai reliabititas cronbach alpha 0,881. Berdasarkan hasil uji regresi linear sederhana pada penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai R-Square sebesar 0.115 sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa variabel motivasi intrinsik memberikan kontribusi sebesar 11,5% terhadap variabel kreativitas dan terdapat 88,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain di luar variabel motivasi intrinsik. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa variabel motivasi intrinsik dapat mempengaruhi kreativitas namun hanya memberikan pengaruh yang kecil dibandingkan variabel lainnya.
