Abstract

Pressurized air is important in the tire manufacturing industry, one of which is to run machines that work with a pneumatic system . The quality of the air is closely related to the efficiency of the use of machine spare parts . From the data on spare part damage in the BTC area in 2023/2024, where the number of Engineering Job orders (EJO) in September 23 - February 24 totaled 372 pcs. After the analysis was carried out and the cause was found to be water content in the air from the compressor in the utility . Thus, it is necessary to design a condenser tube to condense air from water, this is to improve the quality of the pressurized air used. The design was carried out by making a condenser tube along with a piping system, adding a pilot acting solenoid valve as an open and close valve for the condensed air blow and adding a PLC timer program for the pilot acting solenoid valve work process . Furthermore, a comparative test was carried out on the amount of water content between before and after the tool was made. A comparison of damage data was also carried out before and after the tool was made. This research aims to increase the efficiency of the use of pneumatic spare parts in machines, especially solenoid valves , so that the life time of the spare parts become higher and downtime resulting from replacing damaged spare parts caused by water content in the pressurized air is reduced. Angin bertekanan merupakan hal yang penting dalam industri pembuatan ban, salah satunya adalah untuk menjalankan mesin-mesin yang bekerja dengan sistem pneumatik. Kualitas angin erat hubunganya dengan efisiensi penggunaan spare part mesin. Dari data kerusakan spare part di area BTC pada tahun 2023/2024, di mana jumlah Engineering Job order (EJO) pada bulan Sep 23 – Feb 24 dengan total mencapai 372 pcs. Setelah dilakukan analisa dan diketahui penyebabnya yaitu terdapat kandungan air pada angin yang berasal dari compressor di utility. Dengan demikian perlu dibuat rancang bangun tabung kondensat untuk mengkondensasi angin dari air, hal ini untuk meningkatkan kualitas angin bertekanan yang digunakan. Rancang bangun yang dilakukan dengan membuat tabung kondensat beserta sistem perpipaan, penambahan katup solenoid pilot acting sebagai katup buka tutup blow air hasil kondensasi dan penambahan program timer PLC untuk proses kerja katup solenoid pilot acting. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji coba perbandingan banyaknya kandungan air antara sebelum dan sesudah alat dibuat. Juga dilakukan perbandingan data kerusakan sebelum dan sesudah alat dibuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan spare part pneumatik pada mesin terutama katup solenoid, sehingga life time spare part menjadi lebih tinggi dan down time yang diakibatkan akibat penggantian spare part yang rusak yang disebabkan oleh kandungan air dalam angin berkurang.
