Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between flourishing and attitude toward money on the performance of Gen Z employees in Jakarta. Gen Z is a generation born in the digital era with unique characteristics, including flexibility in work and seeking meaning in their jobs. This research uses a quantitative method with a survey approach involving 449 Gen Z employees from the service sector in Jakarta as respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires that measured three main variables: flourishing, attitude toward money, and employee performance. Flourishing was measured using the Flourishing-at-Work Scale (FAWS), which includes dimensions of emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Attitude toward money was assessed using the Money Ethic Scale (MES), covering positive attitude, negative attitude, achievement, respect, budgeting, and financial freedom. Performance was measured with the Work Role Performance Scale (WRP-S), which includes the dimensions of proficiency, adaptivity, and proactivity. The analysis results show that flourishing is positively related to the performance of Gen Z employees, indicating that employees who feel happy and have good well-being tend to demonstrate higher performance. Additionally, attitude toward money is also positively related to performance, where employees with a positive view of money are more motivated and perform better. Simultaneously, flourishing and attitude toward money are positively related to the improvement of Gen Z employees' performance. These findings highlight the importance of addressing well-being and financial attitudes in managing Gen Z employees to enhance their performance in the workplace. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan flourishing dan attitude toward money terhadap performance karyawan Gen Z di Jakarta. Gen Z merupakan generasi yang lahir di era digital dengan karakteristik yang unik, termasuk fleksibilitas dalam bekerja dan mencari makna dalam pekerjaan mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei yang melibatkan 449 karyawan Gen Z dari sektor jasa di Jakarta sebagai responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang mengukur tiga variabel utama: flourishing, attitude toward money, dan performance karyawan. Flourishing diukur menggunakan Flourishingat- Work Scale (FAWS), yang mencakup dimensi kesejahteraan emosional, psikologis, dan sosial. Attitude toward money diukur dengan Money Ethic Scale (MES), yang mencakup sikap positif, sikap negatif, pencapaian, penghargaan, penganggaran, dan kebebasan finansial. Performance diukur dengan Work Role Performance Scale (WRP-S), yang mencakup dimensi proficiency, adaptivity, dan proactivity. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa flourishing berhubungan positif terhadap performance karyawan Gen Z, yang mengindikasikan bahwa karyawan yang merasa bahagia dan memiliki kesejahteraan yang baik akan menunjukkan performance yang lebih tinggi. Selain itu, attitude toward money juga berhubungan positif terhadap performance, di mana karyawan yang memiliki pandangan positif terhadap uang akan lebih termotivasi dan bekerja lebih baik. Secara simultan, flourishing dan attitude toward money berhubungan positif terhadap peningkatan performance karyawan Gen Z. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya memperhatikan aspek kesejahteraan dan sikap finansial dalam mengelola karyawan Gen Z untuk meningkatkan performance mereka di tempat kerja
