Abstract
Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (TASH) is one of the technologies used to produce electrical energy from wind energy, but there is still a need for improvement in its performance. This research was conducted using a Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine with three Spiral Blades with an Aspect Ratio of 0,116 to find out how much influence the Aspect Ratio has on Wind Turbine Performance, This study aims to measure and analyze the main performance parameters of horizontal axis wind turbines with three spiral Blades that have an Aspect Ratio of 0,116. The specific objective is to understand the effect of Aspect Ratio on voltage (volts), current (amperes), turbine rotational speed (rpm) and torque (τ), and in line with wind speed (ρw) in producing electrical energy. This research uses an experimental method, where a horizontal axis wind turbine with three spiral Blades having an Aspect Ratio of 0,116 will be built and tested in a controlled environment. Measurements of key performance parameters, including voltage, current, turbine rotational speed, torque and wind speed, will be carried out systematically to gain an in-depth understanding of the wind turbine's performance in generating electrical energy. The results of the TASH experiment 3 Sprial Blades with Aspect Ratio 0,116 get the maximum value in TASH testing using Planetary Gearbox with a value of 24,23rpm rpm, Voltage 53,09V, Electric Current 1,25A, Torque 30,94Nm at wind speed 5,0m/s. While the minimum value is obtained in the TASH test without Planetary Gearbox with an rpm value of 105,89rpm, Voltage 8,60V, Electric Current 0,05A, Torque 2,85Nm at wind speed 2,5m/s. in the calculation of the Power Coefficient, Torque Coefficient and Tip Speed Ratio the minimum value obtained in the test without Planetary Gearbox with a Power Coefficient value of 0,02 at wind speed 2,5m/s, Torque Coefficient 0,22 at wind speed 2,5m/s, and Tip Speed Ratio 0,11 at wind speed 2,5m/s. Getting the maximum value in testing using a Planetary Gearbox with a Power Coefficient value of 0,47, at a wind speed of 4,5m/s, a Torque Coefficient of 0,68 at a wind speed of 4,0m/s, a Tip Speed Ratio of 0,75 at a wind speed of 5,0m/s. Keywords: Renewable Energy; Horizontal axis wind turbine; Spiral blades Turbin Angin Sumbu Horizontal (TASH) merupakan salah satu teknologi yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan energi listrik dari energi angin, namun masih perlu adanya peningkatan dalam kinerjanya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Turbin Angin Sumbu Horizontal dengan tiga Sudu Spiral dengan Aspek Rasio 0,116 untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh Aspek Rasio terhadap Performa Turbin Angin, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dan menganalisa parameter-parameter performansi utama turbin angin sumbu horizontal dengan tiga sudu spiral yang memiliki Aspek Rasio 0,116.
