Abstract

Cultural centers are places where cultural activities take place as a means of introducing culture to the surrounding community. Germany as one of the countries with an influential cultural history has a cultural center in Jakarta called Goethe Institute. Through the GoetheHaus Auditorium facility that can be utilized for cultural activities such as concerts, seminars, and exhibitions. The design of the auditorium of the German cultural center aims to enhance the vision of the Goethe Institute, namely as a center for cultural exchange by maximizing the function of the auditorium by designing an auditorium that is in accordance with acoustic standardization and good space ergonomics to support community cultural exchange activities. To display the aesthetic side of the auditorium, a contemporary style was chosen to showcase beauty, comfort, and functionality. In addition, the use of the eco friendy concept will also support the contemporary style which tends to use environmentally friendly materials. Pusat Kebudayaan merupakan tempat dimana kegiatan budaya berlangsung sebagai sarana untuk mengenalkan budaya terhadap masyarakat sekitar. Jerman sebagai salah satu negara yang memiliki budaya yang sejarah yang berpengaruh memiliki pusat kebudayaan di Jakarta yang bernama Goethe Institute. Melalui fasilitas Auditorium GoetheHaus yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk tempat berlangsungnya kegiatan budaya seperti konser, seminar, hingga pameran. Perancangan auditorium pusat kebudayaan Jerman ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan visi Goethe Institute yakni sebagai pusat pertukaran budaya dengan cara memaksimalkan fungsi auditorium dengan cara merancang sebuah auditorium yang yang sesuai dengan standarisasi akustik dan ergonomi ruang baik untuk menunjang kegiatan pertukaran kebudayaan Masyarakat. Untuk menampilkan sisi estetis pada auditorium, gaya kontemporer dipilih untuk menamplikan keindahan, kenyamanan, dan fungsionalitas. Selain itu, penggunaan konsep eco friendy juga akan turut mendukung gaya kontemporer yang cenderung menggunakan bahan ramah lingkungan.
