Abstract
Increasingly tight business competition forces companies to focus on product quality in order to maintain competitiveness in the global market. In the context of the tire industry in Indonesia, the production process is the main key, especially at the Tire Inspection stage which is important to ensure product quality is OK before being sold to consumers. There is a main problem, namely complaints about defective tire products received by consumers in 2023 reaching 22 pcs. To repair existing defective products, in this research the author used the Quality Control Circle (QCC) and QCDSMPE method approaches to improve the tire inspection process. The data collection process is carried out using the field observation method so that the data processed is accurate according to the conditions in the field. Quality problems such as defects in tires are a major concern because they can result in wasted resources and reduce consumer interest. Inspections carried out by inspection teams with inadequate equipment and areas cause a high percentage of tire scrap because tire defects often occur. This will threaten driver safety and the company's reputation. The proposed solution includes the procurement of adequate inspection areas and equipment and the implementation of quality management methods to reduce defects and increase the efficiency of the production process. Persaingan bisnis yang semakin ketat memaksa perusahaan untuk fokus pada kualitas produk guna mempertahankan daya saing di pasar global. Dalam konteks industri ban di Indonesia, proses produksi menjadi kunci utama, terutama pada tahap Inspeksi Tire yang penting untuk memastikan kualitas produk OK sebelum dijual ke konsumen. Terdapat permasalah utama yaitu komplain produk ban cacat yang diterima konsumen pada tahun 2023 mencapai 22 pcs. Untuk memperbaiki produk cacat yang ada, pada penelitian ini penulis mengunakan pendekatan metode Quality control Circle (QCC) dan QCDSMPE yang dilakukan untuk memperbaiki proses inpeksi ban. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi lapangan sehingga data yang diolah akurat sesuai kondisi yang ada di lapangan. Masalah kualitas seperti defect pada ban menjadi perhatian utama karena dapat mengakibatkan pemborosan sumber daya dan menurunkan minat konsumen. Pemeriksaan yang dilakukan oleh tim inspeksi dengan peralatan dan area yang tidak memadai menyebabkan tingginya presentase scrap tire karna sering terjadi kelolosan defect ban. Hal tersebut akan mengancam keselamatan pengendara dan reputasi perusahaan. Solusi yang diusulkan meliputi pengadaan area dan peralatan inspeksi yang memadai dan penerapan metode manajemen kualitas untuk mengurangi cacat dan meningkatkan efisiensi proses produksi.
