Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peran employee well- being sebagai mediator dalam hubungan work engagement dan career adaptability. Pekerja tidak hanya harus berkompeten namun juga harus memiliki komitmen, keterlibatan dan kemampuan adaptasi terhadap perubahan karir. Dengan pekerja yang bersemangat, mempunyai beradaptasi yang baik, keadaan mental pekerja yang baik juga sangat diperlukan oleh perusahaan agar dapat mampu berkompetitif ketika terjadi perubahan yang cepat dan kompleks. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan Teknik convenience sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan alat ukur Ultrech Work Engagement Scale-9 (UWES-9) yang merupakan versi modifikasi dari UWES-17 dengan tiga dimensi vigor, dedication, dan absorption yang memiliki total 9 item. Lalu Career Adaptability menggunakan alat ukur Career Adapt-Abilities Scale-Short Form (CAAS-SF) dengan empat dimensi concern, control, curiosity, dan confidence yang memiliki total 12 item. Serta employee well-being scale (EWBS) dengan empat dimensi yaitu psychological well-being, social well-being, workplace well-being, dan subjective well-being yang memiliki total 31 item. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pekerja aktif di Indonesia. Jumlah responden penelitian ini berjumlah 634 responden. Hasil penelitian ini didapat dari Process V.4.2 untuk SPSS yang dikembangkan oleh Andrew F. Hayes. Dan menunjukan bahwa employee well-being memiliki peran sebagai mediator antara hubungan work engagement dan career adaptability. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa untuk dapat meningkatkan work engagement pada pekerja dengan menerapkan career adaptability dan employee well-being dapat membantu dalam meningkatkan work engagement pada pekerja. This study aims to determine whether there is a role of employee well-being as a mediator in the relationship between work engagement and career adaptability. Workers must not only be competent but also have commitment, involvement, and the ability to adapt to career changes. With enthusiastic workers, having good adaptation and a good mental state of workers is also very much needed by the company to be able to compete when rapid and complex changes occur. This study uses quantitative research with convenience sampling techniques. Data were collected using the Ultrech Work Engagement Scale-9 (UWES-9) measuring instrument, which is a modified version of the UWES-17 with three dimensions of vigor, dedication, and absorption, which have a total of 9 items. Then Career Adaptability uses the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale-Short Form (CAAS-SF) measuring instrument with four dimensions of concern, control, curiosity, and self- confidence, which have a total of 12 items. As well as the employee welfare scale (EWBS) with four dimensions, namely psychological well-being, social well-being, workplace well-being, and subjective well-being, which have a total of 31 items. The subjects of this study were active workers in Indonesia. The number of respondents in this study was 634 respondents. The results of this study were obtained from Process V.4.2 for SPSS developed by Andrew F. Hayes. And shows that employee well-being has a role as a mediator between the relationship between work engagement and career adaptability. Based on the results of the study, it shows that increasing work engagement in workers by implementing career adaptability and employee well-being can help in increasing work engagement in workers.
