Abstract
Warehousing is a service industry that prioritizes efficiency in its operational activities. One thing that can improve warehouse efficiency is optimizing the warehouse layout itself. An optimal warehouse layout can shorten the distance of material movement so that it can reduce material handling costs, PT. Gudang Usaha Dagang Indonesia is one of the third party logistic (3PL) warehouses that still has problems with its facility layout, namely the aisle width on the shelfing rack of 1.1m and blockstacking of 0.3m. This does not follow the aisle width standard of 1.5m, making it difficult to move materials. Therefore, it is important to re-evaluate the facility layout using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method and the CRAFT algorithm. The analysis and calculations carried out by applying the SLP method produced the lowest rectilinear distance value of 442 m/day with an efficiency increase of 22% when compared to the initial layout. In addition, there was a decrease in material handling costs to IDR 4,548,839/day with an efficiency level of 8% from the previous material handling costs. The implementation of the proposed layout is expected to be able to improve the operational efficiency of the PT warehouse. Indonesian Trading Business Warehouse. Keywords: Warehouse, Efficiency, Rectalinear, OMH Pergudangan merupakan suatu industri jasa yang mengutamakan efisiensi dalam kegiatan operasionalnya. Salah satu hal yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi gudang yaitu pengoptimalan layout gudang itu sendiri. Layout gudang yang optimal dapat memperpendek jarak perpindahan material sehingga dapat mengurangi ongkos material handling, PT. Gudang Usaha Dagang Indonesia merupakan salah satu gudang third party logistic (3PL) yang masih memiliki permasalahan pada layout fasilitasnya yaitu lebar aisle pada shelfing rack sebesar 1,1 m dan blockstacking sebesar 0,3 m. Hal ini tidak mengikuti standar lebar aisle yaitu 1,5 m sehingga mengakibatkan sulitnya perpindahan material. Oleh karena itu, penting dilakukan evaluasi ulang terhadap layout fasilitas menggunakan metode Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) dan algoritma CRAFT. Analisis dan perhitungan yang dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode SLP menghasilkan nilai jarak rectilinear terendah sebesar 442 m/hari dengan kenaikan efisiensi sebesar 22% bila dibandingkan dengan layout awal. Selain itu, terjadi penurunan ongkos material handling menjadi Rp 4.548.839/hari dengan tingkat efisiensi sebesar 8% dari ongkos material handling sebelumnya. Implementasi layout yang diusulkan diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi operasional gudang PT. Gudang Usaha Dagang Indonesia. Kata Kunci: Gudang, Efisiensi, Rectalinear, OMH
