Abstract

Stunting has become one of the health problems that affects the growth of children in Indonesia. So information and education related to stunting is important to be known by the relevant parties, especially at the Hospital Kartika Husada Bekasi. Strip Comic Media is one of the media that is expected to be media that can provide information and education related to this stunting effectively and innovatively. This method of research planning takes into account the originality of the work, the target/group of consumers, the relevance and consequences of the results of the study. Some of the stages undertaken in this designing are: identifying problems and ideas, collecting data and references, making mind-mapping and concepts, making premise and logline, making character illustrations, making sketches, making outlines and coloring processes, testing the validity of works, realization of works and exhibitions of works. Digital Strip Comics “KOSTING” or called “Stunting Educational Strip comics” is a very effective, engaging and innovative digital strip-shaped visual medium in conveying stunting-related messages. At least this is from feedback from the audience who filled in a questionnaire of as many as 71 audiences at the time of the exhibition. So this digital strip comic "KOSTING" can be said to be applied. Digital Strip Comic "KOSTING" is a very effective, interesting and innovative strip comic to be used as an information medium, especially in providing information and education related to the prevention of stunting hazards. However, some suggestions to make this strip comic work more perfect, such as reinforcing characters in pictures or using characters other than human can be considerations for perfection. Keywords : Stunting, Education,Comics,Strip Comics Stunting menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan anak di indonesia . Sehingga informasi dan edukasi terkait stunting menjadi hal yang penting untuk diketahui oleh pihak terkait, khususnya di RS Kartika Husada Bekasi. Media Komik Strip merupakan salah satu media yang diharapkan menjadi media yang dapat memberikan informasi dan edukasi terkait stunting ini secara efektif dan inovatif. Metode perancangan ini memperhatikan orisinilitas karya, target/kelompok konsumen, relevansi dan konsekuensi hasil studi. Beberapa tahapan yang dilakukan dalam perancangan ini adalah: menentukan masalah dan ide, mengumpulkan data dan referensi, pembuatan mind-mapping dan konsep, pembuatan premis dan logline, pembuatan ilustrasi karakter, pembuatan sketsa, proses pembuatan outline dan pewarnaan, uji kelayakan hasil karya, realisasi karya dan pameran karya. Komik Strip Digital “ KOSTING “ atau disebut “ Komik Strip Edukasi Stunting “merupakan media visual berebentuk komik strip digital yang sangat efektif, menarik dan inovatif dalam menyampaikan pesan terkait stunting. Setidaknya hal ini didapat dari umpan balik dari audience yang mengisi kuesioner sebanyak 71 audience saat pameran dilangsungkan. Sehingga Komik Strip Digital "KOSTING" ini dapat dikatakan bisa diterapkan. Komik Strip Digital "KOSTING" merupakan karya komik strip ini sangat efektif, menarik dan inovatif untuk dijadikan media informasi, khususnya dalam menyampaikan informasi dan edukasi terkait pencegahan bahaya stunting. Namun beberapa saran agar karya komik strip ini lebih sempurna, seperti penguatan karakter dalam gambar ataupun menggunakan karakter lain selain manusia dapat menjadi pertimbangan untuk penyempurnaan.
