Abstract

Studi ini menyelidiki peran mediasi Employee well-being dalam hubungan antara Empowering leadership dan work engagement di kalangan tenaga kerja Indonesia. Dengan mengakui dampak kritis dari Employee well-being dan work engagement, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana Empowering leadership, yang ditandai dengan otonomi dan dukungan, dapat menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang positif yang meningkatkan baik well-being maupun engagement. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi mediasi dengan data dari 675 pekerja Indonesia, studi ini meneliti jalur-jalur di mana Empowering leadership mempengaruhi work engagement, dengan Employee well-being sebagai mediator potensial. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan prosedur PROCESS V.4.2 untuk SPSS, yang memungkinkan pemeriksaan komprehensif terhadap hubungan mediasi yang dihipotesiskan. Studi ini menggunakan skala yang sudah mapan untuk mengukur Empowering leadership, Employee well-being, dan work engagement. Memahami hubungan ini semakin mendesak di lingkungan kerja yang cepat berubah saat ini. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Empowering leadership memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan Employee well-being. Semakin tinggi tingkat Empowering leadership, semakin baik kesejahteraan karyawan. Selain itu, kesejahteraan karyawan juga berhubungan positif dengan Work engagement, di mana karyawan yang memiliki kesejahteraan lebih tinggi cenderung lebih terlibat dalam pekerjaan mereka. Temuan juga mengungkapkan bahwa Employee well-being bertindak sebagai mediator yang efektif, mengurangi pengaruh langsung antara Empowering leadership dan Work engagement. Penelitian ini melibatkan 635 responden dari berbagai sektor di Indonesia, sehingga memberikan relevansi lokal yang kuat. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi organisasi untuk mengembangkan pemimpin yang inspiratif dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja kondusif guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan keterlibatan karyawan. This study investigates the mediating role of employee well-being in the relationship between empowering leadership and work engagement among Indonesian workers. Recognizing the critical impact of employee well-being and work engagement, the research explores how empowering leadership, characterized by autonomy and support, can foster a positive work environment that enhances both well-being and engagement. Using mediation regression analysis with data from 675 Indonesian workers, this study examines the pathways through which empowering leadership influences work engagement, with employee well-being as a potential mediator. Data analysis was conducted using the PROCESS V.4.2 procedure for SPSS, enabling a comprehensive examination of the hypothesized mediation relationships. Established scales were employed to measure empowering leadership, employee well-being, and work engagement. Understanding this relationship is increasingly urgent in today’s rapidly changing work environments. The results indicate that empowering leadership has a positive and significant relationship with employee well-being. Higher levels of empowering leadership are associated with better employee well-being. Furthermore, employee well-being is positively related to work engagement, where employees with higher well-being tend to be more engaged in their work. The findings also reveal that employee well- being acts as an effective mediator, reducing the direct influence of empowering leadership on work engagement. This study involved 635 respondents from various sectors in Indonesia, providing strong local relevance. The study's implications offer practical recommendations for organizations to develop inspiring leaders and create conducive work environments to enhance employee well-being and engagement.
