Abstract

The use of a v-belt power transmission system on a converted electric motorcycle causes losses in the transfer of rotation from the drive pulley to the driven pulley due to slippage between the contact side of the v-belt and the pulley side, so it is necessary to use a synchronous belt power transmission system. This research aims to analyze the increase in performance of converted electric motorcycles from the use of a synchronous belt power transmission. The method in this research is to test the performance of converted electric motorcycles on v-belt and synchronous belt power transmission. Test results on a converted electric motorcycle using a v-belt power transmission showed that there was a percentage loss in rotation transmission of 21%, peak torque was 34.04 Nm, peak power was 6.1 hp, acceleration time to a speed of 55 km/h was 7, 98 seconds, the maximum speed achieved is 55 km/hour, and the electric power consumption when accelerating to a speed of 55 km/hour is 1238 Watts. The use of synchronous belt power transmission shows an increase in rotational displacement by 21%, peak torque of 21.25 Nm showing there is a decrease in peak torque load by 38%, peak power of 7.0 hp showing an increase in power of 14%, acceleration time up to a speed of 55 km/h is 2.87 seconds so it is 2.8 times faster, the maximum speed reaches 101 km/h, and when accelerating to a speed of 55 km/h it requires 431 Watts of electric power so there is electric energy saving of 287%. Penggunaan sistem pemindah daya v-belt pada sepeda motor listrik hasil konversi menyebabkan kerugian pemindahan putaran dari puli penggerak ke puli yang digerakkan karena terjadi selip antara sisi kontak v-belt dan sisi puli, maka dibutuhkan penggunaan sistem pemindah daya synchronous belt. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis peningkatan kinerja sepeda motor listrik hasil konversi dari penggunaan pemindah daya synchronous belt. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah menguji kinerja sepeda motor listrik hasil konversi berpemindah daya v-belt dan synchronous belt. Hasil pengujian terhadap sepeda motor listrik hasil konversi berpemindah daya v-belt menunjukkan terjadi presentase kerugian pemindahan putaran sebesar 21 %, torsi puncak sebesar 34,04 Nm, power puncak sebesar 6,1 hp, waktu akselerasi sampai kecepatan 55 km/jam adalah 7,98 detik, maksimum kecepatan yang dicapai adalah 55 km/jam, dan konsumsi daya listrik saat akselerasi sampai kecepatan 55 km.jam sebesar 1238 Watt. Penggunaan pemindah daya synchronous belt menunjukkan peningkatan pemindahan putaran sebesar 21 %, torsi puncak sebesar 21,25 % maka terjadi penurunan beban torsi puncak sebesar 38 %, power puncak yang dikeluarkan motor sebesar 7,0 hp menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan power sebesar 14 %, waktu akselerasi sampai kecepatan 55 km/jam adalah 2,87 detik menunjukkan 2,8 kali lebih cepat, kecepatan maksimum mencapai 101 km/jam, dan saat akselerasi sampai kecepatan 55 km/jam membutuhkan daya listrik sebesar sebesar 431 Watt menunjukkan terjadi penghematan 287 %.
