Abstract

As time goes by, the need for energy increasingly increases electricity consumption from fossil fuels, therefore it is necessary to look for renewable energy sources, where wind is one renewable energy source whose energy can be utilized using a Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (TASH). In this research, a three-blade type TASH prototype was designed and adapted to Indonesia's geographical conditions with low wind speeds. Field trials were also carried out in the Joglo Baru residential area, Kembangan, West Jakarta. This location was selected. because the wind speed varies. Tests were carried out at different wind speeds from 1 m/s to 5 m/s. The aim of this research is to verify the performance of the three-blade drag type TASH prototype under the influence of the addition of winglets. The research results show that at a wind speed of 5 m/sec a TSR value = 0.1029 is obtained Actual power (Pexp)= 10.961 Watts, Torque (Texp) = 16.4 N.m and turbine rotation= 149 rpm, power coefficient (Cp) = 0.747 and torque coefficient (Ct )= 0.726 Key words: Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (TASH), Coefficient Power (Cp), Coefficient Torque (Ct), Tip Speed Ratio (TSR). Seiring berjalannya waktu, kebutuhan akan energi semakin meningkatkan konsumsi listrik dari bahan bakar fosil, oleh karena itu perlu dicari sumber energi terbarukan, dimana angin merupakan salah satu sumber energi terbarukan yang energinya dapat dimanfaatkan dengan menggunakan Turbin Angin Sumbu Horizontal (TASH). Pada penelitian ini dirancang prototipe TASH tipe tiga bilah dan disesuaikan dengan kondisi geografis Indonesia dengan kecepatan angin rendah. Uji coba lapangan juga dilakukan di kawasan perumahan Joglo Baru, Kembangan, Jakarta Barat. Lokasi ini dipilih. karena kecepatan anginnya berbeda-beda. Pengujian dilakukan pada kecepatan angin yang berbeda dari 1 m/s hingga 5 m/s. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memverifikasi kinerja prototipe tiga bilah TASH tipe drag di bawah pengaruh penambahan winglet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kecepatan angin 5 m/s dengan nilai TSR= 0.1029 didapat. Daya aktual (Pexp)= 10.961 Watt, Torsi (Texp)= 16,.4 N.m dan putaran turbin = 149 rpm,. Koefisien Daya (Cp) = 0.747, pada Koefisien Torsi (Ct) = 0.726 Kata kunci: Turbin Angin Sumbu Horizontal (TASH), Coefficient Power (Cp), Coefficient Torque (Ct), Tip Speed Ratio (TSR).
