Abstract
Skateboarding is an extreme sport that is highly popular among youth and adults. It has evolved from being a means of transportation and entertainment into a subculture that continues to captivate many people today. The main challenge in making skateboard decks lies in finding materials that are durable and flexible, such as maple wood. However, maple wood contributes to environmental damage, leading to a decline in biodiversity. As a solution, the author proposes the use of skateboard deck molds using HDPE plastic material as a skateboard deck, because HDPE material is known for its strength and good durability, with a mixture of epoxy resin lamination, as a coating on the outside. This step is expected to reduce the impact of environmental pollution resulting from plastic waste and tree felling. Keywords : Skateboard, Moulding, HDPE Plastic, Environmental pollution Skateboard merupakan olahraga ekstrim yang sangat yang populer dikalangan anak muda muda hingga dewasa, tidak hanya sebagai alat transportasi dan hiburan, skateboard berkembang menjadi subkultur yang hingga saat ini banyak diminati orang. Tantangan utama dalam pembuatan deck skateboard adalah material yang harus memiliki daya tahan dan fleksibel seperti material kayu maple, namun kayu maple pun berkontribusi pada kerusakan lingkungan yang mengakibatkan berkurangnya keanekaragaamn hayati. Sebagai solusi nya penulis mengusulkan penggunaan cetakan deck skateboard dan membuat deck skateboard dengan menggunakan material plastik HDPE sebagai deck skateboard, karena material HDPE dikenal kekuatan dan daya tahannya baik, dengan campuran laminasi resin epoxy, sebagai pelapisan di bagian luar, Langkah ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi dampak dari pencemaran lingkungan yang di hasilkan dari sampah plastik juga penebangan pohon.
