Abstract

Inventory control across the company's supply chain network is crucial, which includes the control of Work in Process (WIP) inventory. The company, a manufacturer of car tires with a make-to-stock system, maintains high levels of WIP Green Tyre inventory due to its significant value. The inventory control method with varying order quantities each time, resulting in uncontrolled conditions, has caused overstock in storage areas. This research aims to analyze the priority of WIP Green Tyre inventory categories, evaluate the economic and optimal order quantities, and compare the total WIP Green Tyre inventory costs. The methods used include ABC Analysis, Production Order Quantity (POQ), and Safety Stock with service level settings for classes A, B, and C (93%, 90%, 80%). The results show that class A WIP Green Tyre inventory has a volume of 65% and total inventory value of 67%, class B has a volume of 23% and total inventory value of 28%, while class C has a volume of 11.9% and total inventory value of 5%. The POQ method yielded order quantitie for each order on each rim code, resulting in a maximum inventory level reduction of up to 69.38% with a decrease in safetystock by 0.7%, thus providing an alternative solution to the overstock condition generated by the company's method. Savings in total storage costs amount to 66.15%, with a setup cost wastage of 0.2%. The POQ method provided a total WIP Green Tyre inventory control cost of 52.37% of the total inventory cost using the company's method. Keywords: ABC analysis, Inventory Control, POQ, WIP. Sistem persediaan di seluruh jaringan rantai pasokan perusahaan harus dikendalikan, maka pengendalian persediaan Work in Process (WIP) pun diperlukan. Perusahaan merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi ban mobil yang memiliki sistem make to stock. Persediaan WIP Green Tyre yang memiliki nilai persediaan WIP paling tinggi selalu dijaga ketersediaannya. Metode pengendalian persediaan dimana order quanity yang berbeda pada setiap akli pemesanan yang menjadikannya tidak terkendali memberikan dampak overstock pada area penyimpanan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis prioritas kategori persediaan WIP Green Tyre, mengevaluasi kuantitas pesanan yang ekonomis dan optimal, serta membandingkan total biaya persediaan WIP Green Tyre. Metode yang digunakan adalah Analisis ABC, Production Order Quantity (POQ), dan Safety Stock dengan penetapan service level untuk kelas A, B, dan C (93%, 90%, dan 80%). Hasil yang diperoleh adalah, persediaan WIP Green Tyre kelas A memiliki volume 65% dan total nilai persediaan hingga 67%, kelas B terdiri atas dengan total volume 23 % dan total nilai persediaan 28%. Kelas C dengan total volume 11,9% dan total nilai persediaan 5%. Dengan metode POQ diperoleh tingkan quantity order (Q) untuk setiap kali pemesanan pada masing-masing code rim yang menghasilkan penurunan tingkat persediaan maksimum hingga 69,38% dengan penurunan safety stock sebesar 0,7%, sehingga memberikan alternatif penyelesaian kondisi overstock yang dihasilkan dari metode perusahaan. Penghematan pada total biaya penyimpanan sebesar 66,15% dengan pemborosan pada biaya setup adalah 0,2%. Metode POQ diketahui memberikan total biaya pengendalian persediaan WIP Green Tyre sebesar 52,37% dari total biaya persediaan dengan metode perusahaan.
