Abstract

With increasing internet access, the greater the With increasing dependence on the internet network, a fairly large security risk arises. One of the most common and detrimental threats is a DoS (Denial of Service) attack. Many users feel uncomfortable with security threats such as viruses, malware, Trojans, worms, DOS, hackers, spoofing, sniffing, spamming, crackers, and so on. Various types of DoS attacks, one of which is SYN flood, SYN Flood is one of the common forms of Denial-of-Service attack (DoS) that sends a large number of SYN requests to the server. MikroTik Routerboard has various complete features to support network security, one of which is a firewall. A firewall is a computer network security system that functions as a wall to protect computers from threats originating from the internet network. This study aims to implement a network security system on a MikroTik router device. To achieve this goal, this study will use the RAW firewall feature which is part of the Mikrotik router. With this research, the author hopes that this research can be useful for schools and other institutions. Keyword: DoS, Raw Firewall, SYN Flood, Metasploit, Mikrotik. Dengan meningkatnya ketergantungan pada jaringan internet, juga muncul risiko keamanan yang signifikan. Salah satu ancaman yang paling umum dan merusak adalah serangan DoS (Denial of Service). Banyak pengguna merasa tidak nyaman dengan ancaman keamanan seperti virus, malware, Trojan, worm, DOS, hacker, spoofing, sniffing, spamming, cracker, dll.Berbagai macam serangan DoS salah satunya yaitu SYN flood, SYN Flood adalah bentuk umum serangan Denial-ofService (DoS) yang mengirimkan permintaan SYN dalam jumlah besar ke server. MikroTik Routerboard memiliki berbagai fitur yang lengkap untuk mendukung keamanan jaringan, termasuk firewall. Firewall adalah sebuah sistem keamanan jaringan komputer yang berfungsi seperti tembok untuk melindungi komputer dari ancaman yang berasal dari jaringan internet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan sistem keamanan jaringan pada perangkat router MikroTik. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, penelitian ini akan menggunakan fitur firewall RAW, yang merupakan bagian dari router mikrotik. Dengan adanya penelitian ini penulis berharap agar penelitian ini bisa bermanfaat bagi sekolah dan instansi lainnya. Kata Kunci: DoS, Firewall Raw, SYN Flood, Metasploit, Mikrotik.
