Abstract
Activity in the mosque is not only for praying, but also for reciting Al-Qur’an and preaching these activities should be supported by a good and night lighting system inside the mosque,including the artificial light. This study aims to optimize artificial lighting in the main room of Nur Asmaul Husna mosque. The method used is quantitative with an experimental approach. Measurements were made using lux meter by dividing 16 measuring points that were carried out after prayer isya’ then simulated with software. Seiring perkembangan masjid yang awal mula didalamnya hanya terdapat kegiatan ibadah dan dengan seiringnya waktu kegiatan didalam masjid pun mulai bertambah. Dengan perkembangan kegiatan itu bangunan masjid pun mulai mengalami perkembangan pula akan tetap masih banyak bangunan masjid yang kurang memperhatikan pencahayaan buatan didalam ruang ibadah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pencahayaan buatan pada ruang ibadah masjid Nur Asmaul Husna, Serpong, Tangerang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan lux meter dengan membagi 16 titik ukur yang dilakukan setelah shalat isya kemudian disimulasikan dengan software.
