Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing the Quality of Service (QoS) method in analyzing internet traffic on the LAN network at IKKT Elementary School using Wireshark. In an effort to understand and improve the quality of network services, this research focuses on bandwidth management and analysis of network performance parameters such as throughput, latency, packet loss, and jitter. Data is collected through monitoring network traffic using Wireshark over a certain period, which is then analyzed to identify problems and potential improvements. The research results show that QoS implementation is effective in measuring and evaluating network performance. The average throughput achieved is 50 Mbps, the average latency is 100 ms, the average packet loss is 2%, and the average jitter is 10 ms. Through this analysis, it was found that although throughput, latency and jitter met established standards, the packet loss value exceeded the recommended limits, indicating potential problems in network stability. This research provides in-depth insight into network performance at SD IKKT and identifies areas that require improvement. Recommendations for improvement include increasing bandwidth, optimizing router configuration, and implementing more effective QoS policies. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas implementasi metode Quality of Service (QoS) dalam menganalisis lalu lintas internet pada jaringan LAN di SD IKKT dengan menggunakan Wireshark. Dalam upaya untuk memahami dan meningkatkan kualitas layanan jaringan, penelitian ini memfokuskan pada manajemen bandwidth dan analisis parameter-parameter kinerja jaringan seperti throughput, latency, packet loss, dan jitter. Data dikumpulkan melalui monitoring lalu lintas jaringan menggunakan Wireshark selama periode tertentu, yang kemudian dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi masalah dan potensi perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi QoS efektif dalam mengukur dan mengevaluasi kinerja jaringan. Rata-rata throughput yang dicapai adalah 50 Mbps, latency rata-rata sebesar 100 ms, packet loss rata-rata sebesar 2%, dan jitter rata-rata sebesar 10 ms. Melalui analisis ini, ditemukan bahwa meskipun throughput, latency, dan jitter memenuhi standar yang telah ditetapkan, nilai packet loss melebihi batas yang direkomendasikan, menunjukkan adanya potensi masalah dalam stabilitas jaringan. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang mendalam mengenai kinerja jaringan di SD IKKT dan mengidentifikasi area yang memerlukan perbaikan. Rekomendasi untuk peningkatan meliputi peningkatan bandwidth, optimasi konfigurasi router, dan implementasi kebijakan QoS yang lebih efektif.
