Abstract

PT. Trias Indra Saputra is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of cable support systems. One of the products it produces is a cable ladder. The problem that occurred was that it was discovered that there was a non-compliance with quality standards (defects) in the cable ladder product which exceeded the tolerance limit set by the company, namely 5%. This research aims to determine the most dominant types of defects and identify the factors causing them for priority treatment. The methods used in this research are DMAIC and FMEA. The research results show that the most dominant type of defect in cable ladder products is chipped HDG with a percentage of 52%. In 2023, the DPMO value will be 14,500 with a sigma level value of 3.68. Based on calculations using FMEA, the most potential causal factors were obtained, namely that the temperature and duration of immersion did not comply with the RPN value of 392 and the surface condition of the product was less clean with an RPN value of 294. The recommended improvements were: (1) Creating an SOP for hot dip galvanized coating, (2) ) Make a list of provisions for hot dip galvanized coating based on the thickness of the material, as well as temperature and duration of immersion, (3) Make an inspection report form, (4) Make a SOP control list. Keywords: Quality Control, DMAIC, FMEA PT. Trias Indra Saputra merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak pada bidang produksi cable support system. Salah satu produk yang dihasilkannya adalah cable ladder. Permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu diketahui bahwa terdapat ketidaksesuaian standar kualitas (defect) pada produk cable ladder yang melebihi batas toleransi yang telah ditetapkan perusahaan yaitu 5%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis defect paling dominan serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebabnya untuk dilakukan prioritas penanganan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu DMAIC dan FMEA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis defect paling dominan pada produk cable ladder adalah HDG terkelupas dengan persentase 52%. Pada tahun 2023 didapatkan nilai DPMO sebesar 14.500 dengan nilai level sigma sebesar 3,68. Berdasarkan perhitungan menggunakan FMEA didapatkan hasil faktor penyebab paling potensial yaitu temperatur dan durasi pencelupan tidak sesuai dengan nilai RPN 392 dan kondisi permukaan produk kurang bersih dengan nilai RPN 294. Usulan perbaikan yang direkomendasikan yaitu: (1) Membuat SOP pelapisan hot dip galvanized, (2) Membuat list ketentuan pelapisan hot dip galvanized berdasarkan ketebalan materialnya, serta temperatur dan durasi pencelupan, (3) Membuat form inspection report, (4) Membuat control list SOP.
