Abstract

The death toll from traffic accidents increases every year. Most of the victims who died in traffic accidents were motorbike riders. One of the causes of the high number of deaths due to traffic accidents among motorbike riders is because they did not wear helmets. A helmet is a tool that functions as head protection when driving. The use of helmets when driving is regulated in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia no. 22 of 2009 concerning road traffic and transportation article 29 paragraphs 1 and 2. WHO or the World Health Organization states that the correct use of a helmet can reduce the risk of death by 40% and the risk of serious injury by 70% for motorbike riders. This research aims to compare the Yolo V7 algorithm and MobileNet's Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD) in detecting helmets on motorbike riders. Yolo V7 and Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD) MobileNet are algorithms that function to detect objects. Training data using 434 images, batch size 8, 150 epochs for Yolo V7 and 8137 num steps for SSD MobileNet, produces mAP values of 0.878, AP 0.878, and 0.839 AR for the Yolo v7 algorithm. As well as mAP 0.879, AP 0.879, and AR 0.618 for SSD MobileNet. Keywords : Detection, Yolo v7, SSD MobileNet, Helmet, Accident. Korban meninggal akibat kecelakaan lalu lintas meningkat setiap tahunnya. Sebagian besar korban meninggal akibat kecelakaan lalu lintas merupakan pengendara sepeda motor. Salah satu penyebab tingginya angka korban korban meninggal akibat kecelakaan lalu lintas pada pengendara sepeda motor yaitu karena tidak menggunakan helm. Helm merupakan alat yang berfungsi sebagai pelindung kepala saat berkendara. Penggunaan helm saat berkendara sudah diatur dalam u Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia No. 22 Tahun 2009 tentang lalu lintas dan angkutan jalan pasal 29 ayat 1 dan 2. WHO atau World Health Organization menyatakan bahwa penggunaan helm yang benar dapat mengurangi resiko kematian sebesar 40% dan resiko luka berat sebesar 70% bagi pengendara sepeda motor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkat algoritma Yolo V7 dan Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD) MobileNet dalam mendeteksi helm pada pengendara sepeda motor. Yolo V7 dan Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD) MobileNet merupakan algoritma yang berfungsi untuk mendeteksi objek. Training data menggunakan 434 gambar, batch size 8, 150 epoch untuk Yolo V7 dan 8137 num steps untuk SSD MobileNet, menghasilkan nilai mAP 0,878, AP 0,878, dan 0,839 AR untuk algoritma Yolo v7.
