Abstract

Breathing fresh air is a necessity for human daily life, but unfortunately not all air around us is guaranteed quality. One of the dangerous threats that can contaminate the air is the presence of Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Carbon Monoxide (CO) gases. This research aims to process data from an Internet of Things (IoT) based air quality monitoring system using an ESP-32 Microcontroller that can read Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) levels in the environment around the Suku Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Jakarta Barat as a data collection point. The system utilises an MQ-135 sensor to measure NO2 concentration and an MQ-7 sensor to measure CO concentration. The Fuzzy Mamdani algorithm is applied to process sensor data in order to produce more accurate air quality classifications and it is hoped that the data generated can provide ease in reading air quality levels for users. By applying the IoT concept, this system can monitor air quality in real-time and provide early warning in case of a decline in air quality that threatens health. It is hoped that this air quality monitoring system can help the community in maintaining environmental health and comfort. Kata kunci: CO,
