Abstract
This research evaluates noise levels and the impact of Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) on the health of staff at PLTU Units 4 and 5 PT PJBUP Muara Karang The research method combines quantitative and qualitative approaches, with primary data from observations and interviews, as well as secondary data from the internet and literature Research includes problem identification, hypothesis generation, research instrument development, data collection and analysis, and drawing conclusions The results show high noise levels on the Ground Floor and Mezzanine of the PLTU, indicating the vulnerability of the work environment to noise which can endanger staff health Impacts include serious risk of NIHL Mitigation methods include the use of ear protection and engineering techniques This research provides in-depth insight into the impact of noise on the health of staff at PLTU Units 4 and 5 PT PJBUP Muara Karang, and is the basis for developing effective mitigation strategies in reducing the negative impacts of noise Keywords: noise, Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL), PLTU Penelitian ini mengevaluasi tingkat kebisingan dan dampak Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) terhadap kesehatan staf di PLTU Unit 4 dan 5 PT PJBUP Muara Karang Metode penelitian menggabungkan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif, dengan data primer dari observasi dan wawancara, serta data sekunder dari internet dan literatur Penelitian meliputi identifikasi masalah, pembuatan hipotesis, pengembangan instrumen penelitian, pengumpulan dan analisis data, serta penarikan kesimpulan Hasil menunjukkan tingkat kebisingan yang tinggi di Ground Floor dan Mezzanine PLTU, menunjukkan kerentanan lingkungan kerja terhadap kebisingan yang dapat membahayakan kesehatan staf Dampak meliputi risiko NIHL yang serius Metode mitigasi termasuk penggunaan alat pelindung telinga dan rekayasa teknik Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang dampak kebisingan terhadap kesehatan staf di PLTU Unit 4 dan 5 PT PJBUP Muara Karang, dan menjadi dasar untuk mengembangkan strategi mitigasi yang efektif dalam mengurangi dampak negatif kebisingan Kata Kunci: kebisingan, Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL), PLTU
