Abstract

Admission of new students is one of the processes that must exist in educational institutions such as schools, this process is carried out to screen prospective students who are in accordance with the requirements set by the school. So far, the admissions process for new students in several schools has not used an information system of their own, and reports are still using Microsoft Excel. With the development of technology, the need for information systems is deemed necessary, to facilitate all activities or activities for admission of new students and also by using the Simple Additive Weighting decision-making method, this is able to make it easier to select student registrants at SMK Medika Pekalongan according to predetermined criteria. The results of this study, the decision-making system for new student admissions using the simple additive weighting method can produce decisions in accordance with predetermined criteria. Keywords : Admission of new students, Simple Additive Weighting, Registration Penerimaan siswa baru adalah salah satu proses yang pasti ada di dalam instasi pendidikan seperti sekolah, proses ini dilakukan untuk menyaring calon siswa yang sudah sesuai dengan persyaratan yang ditentukan oleh pihak sekolah. Proses penerimaan siswa baru di beberapa sekolah selama ini belum menggunakan sebuah sistem informasi sendiri, dan laporan-laporan masih menggunakan Microsoft excel. Dengan semakin berkembangnya teknologi maka kebutuhan akan sistem informasi dirasa perlu, untuk mempermudah segala kegiatan atau aktifitas penerimaan siswa baru dan juga dengan menggunakan metode pengambilan keputusan Simple Additive Weighting, ini mampu memudahkan dalam menyeleksi siswa-siswi pendaftar di SMK Medika Pekalongan sesuai kriteria yang sudah ditentukan. Hasil dari penelitian ini sistem pengambilan keputusan penerimaan siswa baru dengan menggunakan metode simple additive weighting ini dapat menghasilkan keputusan yang sesuai dengan kriteria yang sudah ditetapkan.
