Abstract

The importance of information for children with special needs, especially for children who are deaf, requires teachers of SLB B Pangudi Luhur (Special School for the Deaf) to be able to convey information clearly and accurately, especially to parents of students, so that there is no misinterpretation in receiving information. For this reason, it is necessary to improve student monitoring services that are better by presenting a new IT system to meet the expectations of the availability of more up to date information such as the MADE Application (Monitoring Academic Disabilities). The MADE application is implemented based on needs analysis and system design. This application was built with using the Extreme Programming (XP) method which has the stages of planning, design, coding, and testing. Testing the MADE application using black box testing which emphasizes whether or not the function of the application has been created successfully. So it can be concluded that the MADE application and its monitoring features are successful. designed, developed and implemented according to the needs of the Pangudi Luhur SLB B school. Keywords: Student Monitoring, Deaf, Extreme Programming (XP), MADE Pentingnya informasi bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus terutama untuk anak tuna rungu, mengharuskan guru SLB B Pangudi Luhur(Sekolah Luar Biasa Tuna Rungu) Jakarta untuk dapat menyampaikan informasi dengan jelas dan akurat khususnya kepada Orang tua siswa, sehingga tidak terjadi salah tafsir dalam penerimaan informasi. Untuk itulah diperlukan peningkatan layanan monitoring siswa yang lebih baik dengan cara menyuguhkan sistem IT baru untuk memenuhi harapan ketersediaan informasi yang lebih up to date seperti Aplikasi MADE (Monitoring Akademik Disablitas).Aplikasi MADE diimplementasikan berdasarkan analisa kebutuhan dan desain sistem.Aplikasi ini di bangun dengan menggunakan metode Extreme Programming (XP) yang memiliki tahapan planning, desain, coding, dan testing.Testing aplikasi MADE menggunakan pengujian black box yang lebih menekankan pada berhasil tidaknya menjalankan fungsi dari aplikasi yang telah dibuat.Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi MADE serta fitur monitoringnya berhasil dirancang, dikembangkan dan diimplementasikan sesuai kebutuhan sekolah SLB B Pangudi Luhur.
