Abstract

In aircraft operations, safety is the main factor that is the top priority at all times. To achieve this, aviation authorities require that every aircraft operator or airline must have an aircraft maintenance program. Aircraft maintenance must be carried out using good and correct equipment, equipment used in bad condition will hinder work and can also endanger the operational safety of the aircraft. Damage to the Grease Quantity Limiter causes lubrication of the rotary actuator to be inefficient and can cause damage that endangers aircraft operations. The Fault Tree Analysis method is used to be able to detail the problems that occur in the Grease Quantity Limiter and then carry out more detailed calculations. The results of the calculations show that the quantity limiter is experiencing excess pressure where the measurement value shows a value of 2000psi while the maximum value of internal pressure is 1795psi and is therefore experiencing cracks. . This excess pressure (overpressure) is caused because the lubrication hole (greasing point) of the component being lubricated is stuck closed or is in a closed position so that the grease does not flow and build-up pressure occurs. In order to prevent overpressure, steps that can be taken are to add a pressure gauge so that the pressure value can always be monitored and also to always check the greasing point before carrying out lubrication. Keywords: A330, Rotary actuator, Grease quantity limiter Dalam operasional pesawat udara keselamatan merupakan faktor utama yang menjadi prioritas utama setiap saat, untuk mencapai hal ini maka otoritas penerbangan mewajibkan program perawatan pesawat harus dimiliki oleh setiap operator pesawat atau maskapai. Perawatan pesawat harus dilakukan menggunakan peralatan yang baik dan benar, peralatan yang digunakan dalam keadaan tidak baik akan menghambat pekerjaan dan juga dapat membahayakan keselamatan operasional pesawat tersebut. Kerusakan pada Grease Quantity Limiter menyebabkan pelumasan terhadap rotary actuator tidak efisien dan dapat menyebabkan kerusakan yang membahayakan operasional pesawat. Metode Fault Tree Analysis digunakan agar bisa merincikan masalah-masalah yang terjadi pada Grease Quantity Limiter kemudian dilakukan perhitungan lebih detail, hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa quantity limiter mengalami kelebihan tekanan dimana nilai pengukuran menunjukkan nilai 2000psi sedang nilai maksimum internal pressure adalah 1795psi dan sebab itu mengalami retak. Kelebihan tekanan (overpressure) ini disebabkan karena lubang lubrikasi (greasing point) komponen yang dilubrikasi mengalami stuck close atau berada dalam posisi tertutup sehingga grease tidak mengalir dan terjadi build-up pressure. Agar mencegah overpressure langkah yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan menambahkan pressure gauge agar nilai tekanan dapat selalu diawasi dan juga dengan selalu memeriksa greasing point sebelum melakukan lubrikasi.
