Abstract

Luas lahan yang sedikit membuat masyarakat perkotaan (urban) saat ini lebih memilih hunian yang cenderung minimalis. Dengan memanfaatkan luas lahan hunian yang ada, perabot rumah atau furniture harus dipilih yang memiliki tepat guna sehingga tidak membuat ruangan terlihat sempit. Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan elemen fungsional ganda pada perabot rumah untuk mengatasi ukuran lahan hunian yang minimalis. Pentingnya tempat penyimpanan memiliki fungsi ganda agar ruang lingkup ruangan dalam hunian lebih efisien, salah satunya tempat penyimpanan sepatu. Metode perancangan yang digunakan yaitu observasi mengenai kebutuhan masyarakat tentang furniture yang multifungsi, praktis dan efisien baik di ruang ataupun pada tempat penyimpanan. Tahap selanjutnya adalah mendesain furniture dan membuat prototype berdasarkan analisis furniture yang membutuhkan fungsi ganda yaitu rak sepatu. Melalui proses desain dan prototype didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa rak sepatu yang multifungsi merupakan pilihan yang tepat untuk masyarakat urban yang memiliki karakter mandiri, modern dan menyukai segala sesuatu yang praktis terutama untuk huniannya yang minimalis. Hal yang menjadi perhatian utama adalah mekanisme yang digunakan untuk memudahkan pengguna saat mengambil sepatu. Dalam perancangan ini, mekanisme yang digunakan adalah sliding yaitu sistem geser. Strukturnya menggunakan elemen rel sehingga mudah untuk di geser dan bergerak secara horizontal. Dengan mekanisme tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan kemudahan dan efektifitas ruang gerak pengguna sehingga menjadi lebih praktis dan hemat energi.Slightly different with other areas, urban areas make urban community currently prefer to choose a minimalist reseidence concept. By utilizing the existing expanse of residential land, furniture should be selected which has appropriate so that does not make the room look narrow. Therefore, multifunctional elements are required in home furnishings to overcome the minimalist size of the urban areas. The importance of storage has a dual function so that the spacious room more efficient, one of which is shoe storage. The design method used is the observation about the needs of the community about multifunctional furniture, practical furniture and efficient either in space or on the storage. The next step is design furniture and make a prototype based on furniture analysis that requires a double function that is shoe storage. Through the design process and prototype we can conclude that the multifunctional shoe storage is the right choice for the urban people who have the character of independent, modern and like everything that is practical especially for minimalist residence. The main concern is the mechanism used to facilitate the user when taking shoes. In this design, the mechanism used is sliding or shear system. The structure uses rail elements so it is easy to slide and move horizontally. With these mechanisms can be utilized to improve the ease and effectiveness of user space so that it becomes more practical and energy efficient.
