Abstract

The city of Bandung has experienced developments in its city infrastructure over time. There is quite rapid development in various things, for example in the categories of business, industrial, political and cultural centers. With the existing developments, there has been a lot of activity or social activity that occurs in this city. The MICE business is providing services for meetings between groups or several people, arranging travel for employees and business partners as an appreciation for the work that has been done, and organizing exhibitions in an effort to expand information or promote goods and services. Presence of MICE, the need for meeting places is increasing over time. We need to invest in cities that are starting to develop MICE. This emerged as a rejection of modern architectural principles which do not pay attention to architecture's relationship with things that are considered trivial and are only limited to fulfilling the functions of its users, causing a decline in architectural value. Metabolism brings a vision to bring about changes in the appearance of architecture, especially architecture that is capable of changing, developing and responding to environmental conditions. Building an object is not just about building a building, but also involves how to build it for everyone in a way that is comfortable and does not damage the existing environment. The concept that suits the existing problem is the concept of biomimicry. In the book entitled biomimicry, Biomimicry is a concept where nature plays the main role or model. The architectural design of the planned building will create a building that is in harmony and blends with nature. Keywords: MICE Building ( Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition), Biomimicry Architecture, Green Architecture Kota Bandung dari waktu ke waktu mengalami perkembangan dalam infrastruktur kota nya. Perkembangan yang cukup pesat dalam berbagai hal, misalnya dalam kategori pusat bisnis, industri, politik, maupun kebudayaan. Dengan adanya perkembangan yang ada, menimbulkan banyak sekali aktivitas atau kesibukan social yang terjadi dikota ini. Usaha MICE ialah memberikan jasa terhadap suatu pertemuan antar sekelompok atau beberapa orang, pengurusan perjalanan untuk karyawan serta mitra usaha sebagai suatu apresiasi atas pekerjaan yang telah dilakukan, dan pengurusan suatu pameran dalam upaya memperluas sebuah informasi atau promosi suatu barang serta jasa. Adanya MICE, kebutuhan akan tempat pertemuan semakin meningkat dari waktu ke waktu. Kita perlu berinvestasi di kota-kota yang mulai mengembangkan MICE. Hal ini muncul sebagai penolakan terhadap prinsip-prinsip arsitektur modern yang tidak memperhatikan hubungan arsitektur dengan hal-hal yang dianggap remeh dan hanya sebatas memenuhi fungsi-fungsi penggunanya sehingga menyebabkan menurunnya nilai arsitektur. Metabolisme membawa visi untuk membawa perubahan tampilan arsitektur, khususnya arsitektur yang mumpuni, mengubah, mengembangkan dan merespon kondisi lingkungan. Membangun sesuatu objek bukan hanya perihal membangun sebuah gedung, tetapi juga melibatkan bagaimana cara membangun untuk semua orang merasakan kenyamaann serta tidak merusak lingkungan yang sudah ada. Konsep yang cocok dengan permasalahan yang ada ialah konsep biomimikri, dalam buku berjudul biomimicry, Biomimikri ialah konsep dimana alam sebagai peran utama atau modelnya . Desain arsitektural bangunan yang direncanakan akan membuat bangunan yang selaras dan menyatu dengan alam.
