Abstract

Perancangan ini berdasarkan keresahan terhadap minimnya media informasi terkait pembahasan mengenai Kota Jakarta yang di tunjukan untuk anak-anak. Padahal memberi pengetahuan anak-anak sejak dini sangatlah penting, selain banyaknya manfaat yang dihasilkan, anak-anak bisa mengetahui sisi lain Kota Jakarta terutama terkait Kebudayaan serta bangunan-bangunan bersejarah. Perancangan ini menggunakan buku sebagai media utamanya. Buku yang dirancang adalah buku ilustrasi yang dibuat menjadi beberapa bab pembahasan. Pembahasan tersebut terdiri dari warisan budaya Betawi, warisan budaya China, warisan budaya Eropa, Serta warisan budaya India & Arab. Ilustrasi ini berusaha menyampaikan budaya Jakarta secara komprehensif namun tetap simpel untuk target audiens berupa anak usia dini, dengan harapan agar anak-anak yang menjadi target dari buku ilustrasi ini tidak buta akan sejarah dan peradaban dari kota tempat mereka lahir atau dan dibesarkan.This design is based on anxiety about the lack of media information related to the discussion about the city of Jakarta in the show for children. Though giving knowledge of children early on is very important, besides the many benefits generated, the children can know the other side of Jakarta, especially related to Culture and historic buildings. This design uses the book as the main medium. The book designed is an illustrated book that is made into several chapters of discussion. The discussion consists of Betawi cultural heritage, China's cultural heritage, European cultural heritage, as well as Indian & Arab cultural heritage. This illustration seeks to convey Jakarta's culture comprehensively but remains simple to target an early childhood audience, in the hope that targeted children from this illustration book are not blind to the history and civilization of the city where they were born or raised.
