Abstract

Indonesia adalah salah satu negara yang kaya akan keragaman budaya dan kearifan lokal yang diwariskan secara turun temurun. Berbagai budaya itu antara lain adat isitiadat, tarian, alat tradisional, cerita rakyat dan lain-lain. Melalui buku cerita di masyarakat luas sangat penting dan mudah diserap terutama kepada anak-anak, yaitu dengan buku cerita yang menggabungkan antara gambar ilustrasi dengan teks/narasi. Anak-anak dapat dengan mudah mengembangkan gagasan, kreatifitas dan imajinasi yang diserap dari cerita bergambar. Ilustrasi gambar pada buku anak-anak mempunyai kontribusi tinggi yang membuat buku menjadi lebih interaktif dan edukatif bahkan mengajarkan nilai seni pada anak-anak. Dengan memilih perancangan buku ilustrasi cerita rakyat anak “Si Bener” yaitu salah satu cerita rakyat betawi yang kisahnya kurang populer dibandingkan cerita rakyat betawi lainnya dan memiliki pesa moral yang bagus didalam ceritanya.Indonesia is one country rich in cultural diversity and local wisdom passed down from generation to generation. Various cultures that include customs isitiadat, dance, traditional tools, folklore and others. Through storybooks in the wider community is very important and is easily absorbed, especially to children, that is with a story book that combines illustrations with text / narrative. Children can easily develop ideas, creativity and imagination absorbed from pictorial stories. Picture illustrations in children's books have a high contribution that makes books more interactive and educative and even teach the artistic value of children. By choosing a book design illustration folklore of children "Si Bener" is one of the Betawi folklore whose story is less popular than other Betawi folklore and has a good moral calendar in the story.
