Abstract
Apart from the advantages of batteries which provide many benefits by providing power to electrical devices, there is also the potential for damage that can result from battery failure which is often not realized. Damage to the lead acid battery type, in this case IP1272, can result in major disturbances that can contaminate the entire building with acid. The inclusion of a monitoring and protection system can be used as a solution to help protect electrical device systems from abnormal conditions. The author proposes a protection system design using relays and monitoring battery conditions in the form of temperature, current, voltage, and SoC using a DS18B20 temperature sensor, ACS712 current, and voltage divider as well as an ESP32 microcontroller control center and the Blynk dashboard web platform. Simulations were carried out using MatLab to obtain reference data that could be compared with the test results. It is known that there are error values in the system even though the system can work well monitoring temperature, current and voltage and controlling relays with an average error value of 1.208%. This value is still within the range of tolerance.
