Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran political cognition pada pemilih pemula terhadap pemilihan kepala daerah tahun 2017. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 21 orang yang dibentuk menjadi 3 kelompok dan 3 orang partisipan tambahan yang memiliki kriteria sebagai pemilih pemula. Penelitian dilakukan di daerah Jakarta Barat dan Jakarta Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan Teknik focus group discussion, wawancara terbuka dan terstruktur dengan menggunakan lampiran kuesioner dalam bentuk open-questionaire dan juga adanya tugas menulis yang ditulis oleh para subjek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemilih pemula yang berusia 17-21 tahun memiliki antusias yang tinggi terhadap pemilihan kepala daerah. Dari 3 kelompok dan 3 orang partisipan mencari tahu sendiri informasi mengenai ideologi dan latar belakang yang ada pada seorang calon pemimpin serta visi misi dari setiap pasangan calon pemimpin kepala daerah DKI Jakarta tahun 2017 melalui acara debat di televisi dan sosial media. Selain itu mereka juga melakukan diskusi dengan orangtuanya, tetapi dalam hal memilih mereka memiliki pilihan sendiri tanpa adanya tekanan dari pihak manapun. Bagi seluruh pasrtisipan ideologi, visi misi dan latar belakang merupakan sesuatu hal yang penting untuk diketahui. Selain itu perbedaan ideologi antara pemimpin dan masyarakat tidak dijadikan sebuah perpecahan melainkan disikapi secara bijak untuk mendapatkan tujuan yang sama demi kesejahteraan DKI Jakarta. Adapun harapan yang lebih utama bagi pemilih pemula adalah terealisasinya program kerja pemerintah demi adanya keselarasan antar pemimpin dan masyarakat, karena dukungan masyarakatlah yang akan menjadi point utama dalam mewujudkan program-program tersebut.This research aims to know the description of political cognition on voice voters against the election of the head region of the year 2017. This research was conducted to the 21 people who were formed into three groups and 2 people additional participants who have the criteria as a novice voters. Research fone in the area of West Jakarta and South Jakarta. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with a focus group discussion technique, open and structures interviews using questionnaires in the form of open attachments-questionnaire and also the existence of writing asssignments that are written by the subject. The results show that the novice voters aged 17-21 years have high enthusiasm for the election of regional heads. From 3 groups and 3 participants, they are informed about the ideology and background of a prospective leader and the vision of the mission of each pair of candidates of DKI Jakarta regional head in 2017 through debate in television and social media. In addition they also held discussions with their parents, but in terms of choosing they have their own choices without any pressure from any party. For all ideological participants, vision and mission are important things to know. In addition, ideological differences between the leaders and the community are not made a split but addressed wisely to get the same goal for the welfare of Jakarta. The main hope for the beginner voters is the realization of government work programs for the harmony between leaders and the community, because the support community that will be the main point in realizing these programs.
