Abstract

This research aims to analyze and design a Virtual Private Network (VPN) network using a tunneling method based on Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) over IPsec at PT Telkom Access. The application of this technology aims to improve security and connection between users and the company's internal network. In addition, this research also involves the concept of "Implicit Deny" to strengthen the security layer by automatically denying all unauthorized access. The design method used involves requirements analysis, identification of appropriate network topology, and selection of L2TP over IPsec configuration. Furthermore, this research also includes the implementation of an “Implicit Deny” rule to ensure that only authorized access is allowed through the VPN network. The results of this research are expected to improve the security and efficiency of PT Telkom Access' VPN network connections, as well as contribute to the development of better network security solutions in general.. Keywords: VPN, Tunnel, L2TP over IPsec, IPsec, Implicit Deny Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis dan perancangan jaringan Virtual Private Network (VPN) dengan menggunakan metode tunneling berbasis Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) over IPsec pada PT Telkom Akses. Penerapan teknologi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keamanan dan koneksi antara pengguna dan jaringan internal perusahaan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga melibatkan konsep "Implicit Deny" untuk memperkuat lapisan keamanan dengan secara otomatis menolak semua akses yang tidak diotorisasi. Metode perancangan yang digunakan melibatkan analisis kebutuhan, identifikasi topologi jaringan yang sesuai, dan pemilihan konfigurasi L2TP over IPsec. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini juga mencakup implementasi aturan "Implicit Deny" untuk memastikan bahwa hanya akses yang telah diotorisasi yang diperbolehkan melalui jaringan VPN. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keamanan dan efisiensi koneksi jaringan VPN PT Telkom Akses, serta memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan solusi keamanan jaringan yang lebih baik secara umum .
