Abstract
Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis penerapan metode Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) pada otomasi produksi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi proses Under Front. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data sekunder, yaitu definisi naratif yang dilakukan dengan mencari sumber masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan definisi naratif dan operasional variabel dengan metode perbaikan PDCA, dengan variabel efisiensi tenaga kerja dan waktu proses produksi. Tahapan siklus PDCA terdiri dari tahap mengembangkan rencana (plan), melaksanakan rencana (do), memeriksa hasil yang dicapai (check), dan melakukan tindakan (act). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa target efisiensi tenaga kerja dari kedua perbaikan adalah kenaikan sebesar 1,5% tidak tercapai, sedangkan target tercapai pada peningkatan otomasi di proses Under Front dengan kenaikan sebesar 0,3% dengan jumlah sistem otomasi proses sebanyak 0,8%. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) method in production automation to increase the efficiency of the Under Front process. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research with secondary data collection methods, namely the definition of narrative which is done by finding the source of the problem. This study uses the definition of narrative and operational variables with the PDCA improvement method, with labor efficiency variables and production process time as variables. The stages of the PDCA cycle consist of the stages of developing a plan (plan), implementing the plan (do), checking the results achieved (check), and taking action (act). The results showed that the labor efficiency target of the two improvements was an increase of 1.5% was not achieved, while the target was achieved in increasing automation in the Under Front process with an increase of 0.3% with the number of process automation systems as much as 0.8%
