Abstract
This garment industry is a company that operates in the baby clothing sector. Product quality is one aspect of improving company performance, so quality control is needed in every company. The aim of this research is to analyze the problem factors that cause product rejects and provide suggestions for improvement. The method used is Critical to Quality, Statistical Quality Control with 7 stages, namely process diagram, check sheet, histogram, control chart, Pareto diagram, scatter diagram, cause and effect diagram and 5W+1H as an improvement method. The results of this research show that there are 2 types of priority rejects, namely holes and dirty ones. The results of data processing show that the two types of rejects are still within control limits. The main problems that cause this are human error, lack of machine maintenance, room layout, quality of raw materials. Proposed improvements that can be implemented include providing briefings to operators, scheduled machine maintenance, rearranging the layout and selecting vendors Keywords: Quality Control, Statistical Quality Control, Reject Products Industri garment ini merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pakaian bayi. Kualitas produk merupakan salah satu aspek dalam meningkatkan performa perusahaan sehingga diperlukan pengendalian kualitas pada setiap perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor faktor permasalahan yang menyebabkan terjadinya produk reject dan memberikan usulan perbaikan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Critical to Quality, Statistical Quality Control dengan 7 tahapan yaitu diagram proses, check sheet, histogram, peta kendali, diagram pareto, diagram pencar, diagram sebab akibat dan 5W+1H sebagai metode perbaikan. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa terdapat 2 jenis reject yang menjadi prioritas yaitu bolong dan kotor. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukan bahwa kedua jenis reject tersebut masih dalam batas kendali. Pokok permasalahan yang menyebabkkan hal tersebut yaitu human eror, kurangnya maintenance mesin, tata letak ruangan, kualitas bahan baku. Usulan perbaikan yang dapat diterapkan yaitu memberikan briefing pada operator, maintenance mesin terjadwal, menata ulang tata letak dan pemilihan vendor Kata Kunci : Pengendalian Kualitas, Statistical Quality Control, Produk Reject
