Abstract

The development of telecommunications service needs in various aspects of life requires telecommunications service providers to improve their networks' quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. The better the service provided to customers will align with the increasing profits obtained by the company. Therefore, all telecommunications service providers compete to carry out various upgrading processes on their topology and telecommunications equipment. The Metro Ethernet network is used to manage customer data flow for both individual and industrial customers. In the personal sector, the Metro Ethernet network distributes customer data services and connects customers with 2G, 3G, and LTE services to communicate and access the internet. Meanwhile, in the industrial sector, the Metro Ethernet network facilitates the transmission of internet connections and data from the customer's head office to several other branch offices. In this final project, an analysis of the L2VPN and L3VPN service types will be conducted in a Metro Ethernet network simulation using SR MPLS-TE technology. QOS based on TIPHON parameters will be used to analyze data package delivery using L2VPN and L3VPN service types. Additionally, the configuration side of the L2VPN and L3VPN service types will also be analyzed in this final project. In the system simulation for this final project, good delay and jitter values were obtained, as well as throughput values ranging from 4% to 70%. Keywords: Metro Ethernet, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS, QOS Perkembangan kebutuhan layanan telekomunikasi di berbagai aspek kehidupan menuntut operator penyedia layanan telekomunikasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan, efisiensi, serta efektifitas jaringan mereka. Semakin baik layanan yang diberikan terhadap pelanggan akan sejalan dengan meningkatnya keuntungan yang didapat oleh perusahaan. Maka dari itu seluruh operator penyedia layanan telekomunikasi berlomba – lomba untuk melakukan berbagai macam bentuk proses upgrade pada topologi serta perangkat telekomunikasinya. Jaringan Metro Ethernet diaplikasikan untuk mengatur jalannya lalu lintas data pelanggan baik pelanggan perorangan, maupun industri. Pada sektor perorangan, jaringan Metro Ethernet berfungsi untuk mendistribusikan layanan data pelanggan, mengkoneksikan pelanggan dengan layanan 2G, 3G, maupun LTE untuk berkomunikasi dan mengakses internet. Sedangkan pada sektor industri, jaringan Metro Ethernet membantu menghubungkan koneksi internet dan data kantor pusat dari pelanggan dengan beberapa kantor cabang lainnya. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dilakukan analisis terhadap tipe service L2VPN dan L3VPN pada simulasi jaringan Metro Ethernet menggunakan teknologi SR MPLS-TE. QOS bedasarkan parameter TIPHON akan digunakan untuk menganalisa pengiriman paket data menggunakan tipe service L2VPN maupun L3VPN. Sisi konfigurasi pada tipe service L2VPN dan L3VPN juga akan dianalisa pada tugas akhir ini. Dalam simulasi sistem pada tugas akhir ini, diperoleh nilai delay dan jitter yang baik dan diperoleh nilai throughput yang beragam bernilai antara 4% hingga 70%.
