Abstract

Currently, the internet has become an essential necessity. One type of business that heavily relies on a reliable internet connection is retail stores. The availability of internet access in retail stores is expected to serve as an effective tool for enhancing business efficiency, including operational processes, employee productivity, and customer satisfaction. For example, Sukses Jaya Furniture Store, a retail store specializing in household furniture sales. This research aims to design and implement a WLAN (WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK) system using the NDLC (Network Design Life Cycle) method at Sukses Jaya Furniture Store. Through the application of this method, it is anticipated that WLAN implementation can be more organized and structured. The research process involves collecting data on requirements, analyzing wifi heatmaps, selecting hardware, designing network topology, and conducting network analysis using Quality of Service (QoS) methods. The research results indicate that the network quality, based on the conducted tests, meets TIPHON standards. Therefore, it can be concluded that the network implementation at Sukses Jaya Furniture Store has been successfully carried out. This is reinforced by speed test results and analyses using the QoS method, which demonstrate good network performance. Thus, the internet network at Sukses Jaya Furniture Store can fully support the operational needs of the store. Keywords: WLAN, NDLC, Wifi Mesh, QoS, Wireshark. Saat ini, internet telah menjadi suatu kebutuhan yang sangat esensial. Salah satu jenis usaha yang sangat bergantung pada koneksi internet yang handal adalah toko retail. Ketersediaan akses internet di toko retail diharapkan dapat menjadi alat yang efektif untuk meningkatkan efisiensi bisnis, termasuk operasional, produktivitas karyawan, dan kepuasan pelanggan. Contohnya, Toko Sukses Jaya Furniture, sebuah toko retail yang fokus pada penjualan perabotan rumah tangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menerapkan sistem jaringan WLAN dengan menggunakan metode NDLC di Toko Sukses Jaya Furniture. Melalui penerapan metode ini, diharapkan implementasi WLAN dapat menjadi lebih terorganisir dan terstruktur. Proses penelitian mencakup pengumpulan data kebutuhan, analisis wifi heatmap, pemilihan perangkat keras, perancangan topologi jaringan, dan analisis jaringan dengan metode QoS (Quality of Service). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas jaringan, berdasarkan uji coba yang dilakukan, memenuhi standar TIPHON. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi jaringan di Toko Sukses Jaya Furniture telah berhasil dilakukan dengan baik. Hal ini diperkuat oleh hasil uji kecepatan (speedtest) dan analisis menggunakan metode QoS yang menunjukkan kinerja jaringan yang baik. Dengan demikian, jaringan internet di Toko Sukses Jaya Furniture dapat sepenuhnya mendukung kebutuhan operasional toko. Kata Kunci : WLAN, NDLC, Wifi Mesh, QoS, Wireshark
