Abstract

Remaja cenderung mengalami banyak perubahan dan pertumbuhan yang membuat remaja mengalami kekhawatiran dan ketidakpuasan mengenai kondisi dirinya yang dapat menyebabkan sulit untuk menerima dirinya secara utuh. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara body image dengan penerimaan diri pada remaja di SMA XYZ. Body image merupakan pandangan individu dalam memberikan penilaian terhadap dirinya sendiri. Kemudian, penerimaan diri merupakan sebagaimana individu mampu dengan nyaman dan menerima atas segala kekurangan maupun kelebihan yang dimiliki. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA XYZ dengan usia remaja tengah sebanyak 105 orang. Dalam pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara body image dengan penerimaan diri pada remaja di SMA XYZ. Hal tersebut berarti semakin tinggi body image yang dimiliki oleh remaja maka semakin tinggi pula penerimaan diri yang dimiliki remaja. Kata Kunci: Body Image, Penerimaan Diri Adolescents tend to experience a lot of change and growth which makes them experience anxiety and dissatisfaction with their condition which can make it difficult to accept themselves as a whole. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the relationship between body image and self-acceptance in adolescents at SMA XYZ. Body image is an individual's view in giving an assessment of himself. Then, self-acceptance is as an individual able to feel comfortable and accept all the weaknesses and strengths they have. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach. In taking samples using simple random sampling technique. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique with the help of the SPSS program. The results of the correlation test show that there is a positive relationship between body image and self-acceptance in adolescents at SMA XYZ. This means that the higher the body image that adolescents have, the higher self-acceptance possessed by adolescents. Keyword: Body Image, Self Acceptance
