Abstract

Indonesia has the potential renewable energy sources in big amount, including hydropower. Energy crisis that happened in the world raise awareness to develop additional generatorsfueled renewable energy, including Micro Hydro Power Plants (PLTMH). The high rate of demand for electric power is not matched by an increase in the supply of cheap, adequate, and environmentally friendly electricity. The depletion of fossil resources triggered an increase in the price of electrical energy and the crisis of electrical energy in Indonesia. So it is necessary research on the utilization of renewable energy potential as an alternative energy source. One is the potential for water energy. This study conducted a study on several parameters of turbine hydrocoil and turbine turbine that is determination of turbine blade dimension and turbine shaft angle to be optimum turbine performance, Which maximizes the volume of water between the range of hydrocoil turbine blades and threaded turbines with a potential power of 2 meter head fluid, With a display penstock 3 meters and the size 4 pipe in. From the research is by performing a comparison of the working power of both hydrocoil turbine and turbine turbine and analyzing turbine performance using ANSYS CFX 15.0 related to fluid analysis using CFD method. Keywords: Renewable Energy (PLTMH), Performance Comparison of Turbine Hydrocoil And Turbine Thread Indonesia memiliki potensi sumber energi terbarukan dalam jumlah besar, termasuk tenaga air. Krisis energi yang terjadi di dunia meningkatkan kesadaran untuk mengembangkan pembangkit tambahan berbahan bakar energi terbarukan, termasuk Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH). Tingginya laju permintaan terhadap daya listrik tidak diimbangi dengan peningkatan penyediaan daya listik yang murah, memadai, dan ramah lingkungan. Semakin menipisnya sumber daya fosil memicu kenaikan harga energi listrik dan krisis energi listrik di Indonesia. Sehingga diperlukan penelitian mengenai pemanfaatan potensi sumber energi terbarukan sebagai sumber energi alternatif. Salah satunya adalah potensi energi air. Penelitian ini melakukan kajian pada beberapa parameter turbin hydrocoil dan turbin ulir yaitu penentuan dimensi sudu turbin dan sudut kemiringan poros turbin agar dihasilkan kinerja turbin optimum, yang memaksimumkan volume air di antara kisar sudu turbin hydrocoil dan turbin ulir dengan potensi daya fluida head 2 meter, dengan pajang pipa penstock 3 meter dan ukuran pipanya 4 in. Dari peneleltian adalah dengan melakukan perbandingan daya kerja kedua turbin hydrocoil dan turbin ulir serta menganalisa performasinya turbin dengan menggunakan ANSYS CFX 15.0 berkaitan dengan analisa fluida menggunakan metode CFD.
